Rodrigo Molina had defended out of the blinds and got it in after the 8♠3♠3♣ flop only to find himself dominated by Ryosuke Yamazaki while Florencio Campomanes got out of the way.

The board completed with the A♦ turn and 9♦ river for Yamazaki to score the knockout.
Elan Zak was all-in with a severe short stack and without having seen his cards. He joked to must have a five on the 5♥5♣7♠ flop while Paul Pak and Oleg Li checked. The A♦ turn and 2♦ river were also checked and Pak tabled the K♣Q♠.
Li had the A♥6♣ and Zak peeled his cards, then revealed the J♦9♦ before heading out of the tournament area.

On a multi-way flop of 7♦6♣3♥, Ryan Platon made it 5,500 to go for what appeared to be around one third of the pot. Saudino Macavinta then raised to 12,000 and that sent Platon into the tank.
"I got too much respect for you ..." Platon said and tapped the table, then folded the 8♦8♥ face-up.
"You had me beat, right?" Platon inquired and Macavinta all but smirked.
Woojong Ha bet the 7♣7♦7♥3♦ turn for 3,500 and big stack Jungkyu Lee called from one seat over. That brought them to the 9♦ river on which Ha checked. Lee splashed in a bet of 50,000 after eyeballing the stack of his neighbour and Ha gave it a few seconds before calling all-in for 31,600.
Lee was reluctant to reveal his Q♥8♥ for a bluff before Ha rolled over the A♥A♣ to score the double.
Three ways to the 6♦5♥4♥ flop, Paul Pak bet 2,000 and Ryan Platon called. Elan Zak was then all-in for 8,400 and Pak called. Platon raised it up and Pak sigh-folded with a smirk on the face.

The 6♣ turn and 4♦ river changed nothing as Platon couldn't improve.
At the start of level eight, the Day 1b field reached 608 entries with around 380 players remaining and this has boosted the overall attendance to 1,003 entries. This is significantly more than the 2022 edition but a new record for the PokerStars sponsored APPT Main Event in Manila is still a ways to go, as more than 1,324 entries would be required.
