Phillip Eldman Eliminated in 13th Place

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

In a battle of the blinds, Scott Numoto completed the bet from the small blind and Phillip Eldman checked his option in the big. The flop came down {Q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Numoto checked to Eldman who led out with a bet of 6,000. Numoto made the call.

Numoto then bet 3,000 in the dark before the turn, putting Eldman all in and Eldman made the call after the dealer brought the {7-Hearts}. Numoto rolled over the {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for trip sevens and Eldman showed the {Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for two pair, needing a queen on the river to stay alive. The river did bring paint, but in the form of a king and Eldman was eliminated from the tournament in 13th place.

Aliansandr Eliminates Sass

Alan Sass
Alan Sass
Alan Sass has recently been eliminated from the tournament in 14th place by Aliansandr Dzianisan of Russia. The pair got it all in pre-flop and found themselves in a classic coinflip situation:

Sass: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Dzianisan: {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} giving Dzianisan a queen-high straight, eliminating Sass from the tournament.

Small Ball

With deep stacks, a short handed format (two tables of 5 and one of 4) and relatively low blinds, players are playing small ball Poker. there are lots of flops being seen and small pots won.

Emad Tahtouh and Dan Schreiber are tassling frequently, with Emad having the upper hand, pushing his stack to over 140,000.

Stuck at 14

Play has slowed down considerably since the break, perhaps due in part to the fact that we're getting closer to the final table. Often times, a lull in the action eventually turns into the calm before the storm. Stay with us . . . the pressure is mounting.
