Jung Takes One From Pogodin, Regains Chip Lead

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Sunny Jung and Konstantin Pogodin were at it again. With a decent chunk of change in the middle and a final board reading {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} Jung bet 162,000.

Pogodin looked his opponent over and eventually made the call. He mucked and tapped the table though when Jung turned over his {2-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Jung sat on top once more.

Lukashaugen Over Cheong

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Tore Lukashaugen raised to 28,000 from the button and Joseph Cheong called from the small blind. The two were heads up and watched on as trip aces fell on the {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} flop. Both checked and the {8-Diamonds} hit the felt on fourth street. Cheong fired 20,000 and Lukashaugen stuck around to see a river.

The river was the {9-Hearts} and Cheong cut out a final bet of 65,000. Lukashaugen called, showing {K-Spades}{9-Spades} for aces full of nines. Cheong flashed king-high before his hand was pulled into the muck. Lukashaugen pulled the pot and now has about 520,000.

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Ronald Chun Long Yu shoved from under the gun and it folded all the way round to Vladimir Troyanovskiy in the big blind who took a quick look at his cards and made the call.

Yu had the pair {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and Troyanovskiy the over cards {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

A run out of {10-Clubs}{2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{a-Clubs} saw Yu head for the exit as the final table crept nearer still.

Double For Zhu

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

It’s been a frustrating day so far for Zhu who entered as chip leader but has been second best in a succession of pots and had to watch as fireworks erupted around her with Sunny Jung at the table.

Zhu open shoved from the cut-off for 140,000 and got it through to big blind Konstantin Pogodin who decided to take the chance to knock out an opponent after some thought.

Pogodin tabled {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Zhu risked it all with {a-Hearts}{7-Spades}.

The cards fell {9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{9-Spades} giving Zhu a small portion of Pogodin’s stack to double up.

Terrence Chan - 14th Place
Terrence Chan - 14th Place

Terrence Chan had been short stacked, card dead and patient all day. Finally he three-bet shoved what remained of his stack over an open from Ami Barer and Barer made the call.

Chan had {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Barer {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.

Chan was out of his seat on the flop on what would be a final board of {4-Spades}{a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}.
