Jeremiah Vinsant Eliminates Rabii Maatouk

Rabii Maatouk
Rabii Maatouk
Rabii Maatouk has just been eliminated from the tournament by Jeremiah Vinsant in 13th place. The action saw Vinsant open the pot for a 55,000 raise and when the action got around to Maatouk, he moved all in for a total of 211,000. Vinsant thought for a bit, but eventually made the call holding {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}. Maatouk tabled {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} and had the best of it all the way through to the turn, but the {J-Hearts} on the river gave Vinsant a pair, and that was all the help he'd need to take down the pot.

For his 13th place finish, Maatouk took home $23,020 in prize money.

Gary Diamond Survives

A short-stacked Gary Diamond pushes his chips in with {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and chip leader Sol Bergren makes the call with pocket fours.

The flop of {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} gives Diamond plenty of hearts to survive, but he doesn't need them when the {J-Spades} lands on the turn to give him the lead with a pair of jacks. The {6-Clubs} on the river means Diamond doubles through to 220,000.

Matwey Thankful To Miss Flush Draw

On a flop of {2-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}, John Matwey loved his hand holding {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} to give him top pair and a flush draw. However, when Vijayan Nagarajan flipped over {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, Matwey was no longer looking for another club. The turn is the {3-Diamonds} and Nagarajan has now picked up a pair to give him even more outs on the river to eliminate Matwey. But the river bricks the {7-Hearts} and Matwey survives and jumps to 450,000 chips.

Mark Walsh Doubles Through Grant Levy

Mark Walsh raises pre-flop from the button with {J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for the last of his 125,000 chip stack. Grant Levy makes the call from the small blind holding {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Lei He folds his big blind.

The flop is an innocent {K-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Spades} but the turn is the {10-Spades} to give Walsh the lead with his pair of tens. The river is the {7-Clubs} and Walsh doubles up to 250,000 chips.

Sol Bergren Eliminates Mark Ericksen; Increases Chip Lead

Mark Ericksen
Mark Ericksen
Sol Bergren has just eliminated Mark Ericksen from the tournament in 14th position and increased his chip lead over the field.

With the board showing {9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, Ericksen moved all in holding {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and was called by Bergren who tabled a pocket pair of kings. The {K-Diamonds} popped off on the turn, giving Bergren a set and because Ericksen did not have a heart in his hand, he was drawing dead.

Bergren improved to just under three million in chips after the hand.

Colin Ford Eliminated in 15th Position

Colin Ford gets his money in pre-flop holding the best hand with his pocket kings well ahead of the pocket tens of Jeremiah Vinsant.

However an amazing flop of {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{10-Spades} gives Vinsant the lead in the hand and leaves Ford needing a miracle king or runner-runner straight. The turn and river bring {5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Colin Ford's fantastic tournament run ends in 15th place.
