Lee Nelson Eliminated in 18th Position

Lee Nelson
Lee Nelson
Lee Nelson pushed the last of his chips into the middle holding pocket eights, but with plenty of chips and the opportunity to eliminate a world class player, Lei He makes the tough call holding {A-Hearts}{2-Clubs}.

The flop brings {5-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Nelson is absolutely gutted. The {5-Hearts} on the turn and the {6-Spades} on the river sends the popular Lee Nelson to the rail in 18th position.

Scotty Nguyen Eliminated in 19th Position

Scotty Nguyen
Scotty Nguyen
Scotty Nguyen raises it up pre-flop to 65,000 from the button and Larry Wright makes the call from the small blind.

On a flop of {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} Wright leads out for 50,000 and Scotty comes over the top for 300,000 in total. Wright insta-calls and shows {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for the stone cold nuts. Scotty is sick as he flips over {A-Spades}{6-Hearts}.

The {5-Spades} on the turn and the {4-Hearts} on the river, and the "Prince of Poker" Scotty Nguyen leaves the poker area in 19th place to the applause of his many fans here in Sydney.

Julius Colman Eliminated in 20th Position

Julius Colman
Julius Colman
The pre-flop action saw Sol Bergren raise it up to 60,000, and Julius Colman re-raised all of his 300,000 in chips holding {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. The unstoppable Sol Bergren makes the call with {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}.

The flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} brings no help for Colman and he exits in the tournament in 20th place.

Sol Bergrean has now assumed the tournament chip lead with over 1.9million in chips.

Leo Boxell Eliminated in 21st Position

Leo Boxell
Leo Boxell
Leo Boxell, who has been playing tight, solid poker all day, raises it up pre-flop to 66,000 with {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}, and Sol Bergren makes the call out of the big blind.

The flop delivers {10-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Spades} and Boxell makes a move on the pot for all of his remaining chips. Bergren makes the call and amazingly flips over {8-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for two pair. Boxell can't connect with the turn or river, and after a great showing finishes the event in 21st position.

Lee Nelson Cops Terrible Beat

Mark Ericksen raises it up pre-flop to 45,000 and Lee Nelson, who has been patiently biding his time for the right moment to strike, re-raises it up to 110,000. Ericksen makes the call and the two players take a flop of {Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

Ericksen peeks at his hole cards and pushes his last 140,000 chips into the pot. Nelson deliberates and makes the call.

Ericksen: {A-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Nelson: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

Nelson makes a terrific call and Ericksen needs a lot of help to survive. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn doesn't provide, but a miracle {8-Diamonds} lands on the river to the devistate the stack of Lee Nelson.

Jai Kemp
Jai Kemp
On a flop of {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} Gary Diamond bets enough to put Jai Kemp all in. Kemp goes into the tank with a massive decision for his tournament life. After several minutes he makes the call with {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}. The call is the correct one as Diamond tables {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

The turn brings the {7-Hearts} and the river {Q-Hearts} and Kemp doubles up to 650,000 chips as Diamond slides to 230,000.
