Yeah Struggles to Escape the Short Stack

The action folded to Joon Hee Yeah in the small blind, who raised to 40,000. Yevgeniy Timoshenko quickly moved all in, and just as quickly Yeah folded.

Yeah was slowly chipping up with a few blind steals, but is now back to around 140,000 once again.

Timoshenko Can't Dispatch Karian

It was bound to happen at some point. Yevgeniy Timoshenko, the small blind, raised to 36,000 after asking the big blind, Rober Karian for a count. Rober Karian squeezed his cards and moved all in. Timoshenko quickly called and stood up. He was in a dominating position with {A-Diamonds}

against Karian's {A-Clubs}

, but the flop was eight-high: {5-Spades}

. Timoshenko couldn't find a ten on the turn {6-Diamonds}

or the river {k-Diamonds}

. After running like a god for most of the afternoon, he has finally given some chips back to an opponent.

When Karian's stack was counted down, he had about 240,000. With that double-up, he is now approaching 500,000.

With Yevgeniy Timoshenko near (if not over) the two-million chip mark and using his stack to bludgeon his opponents into submission, this final table has become a battle of attrition among the three short stacks: Casey Kastle, Joon Hee Yeah, and Rober Karian. All three seem not to be acting, but rather simpy reacting to Timoshenko and trying not to put their chips at risk. Perhaps they are hoping to slide up the payout ladder at the expense of their opponents.

Timoshenko Collects Another Pot

Yevgeniy Timoshenko opened with a raise to 27,000 from under the gun and Joon Hee Yeah made the call from the big blind.

The flop was {5-Spades}

and both players checked. The turn brough the {9-Diamonds}

and Yeah checked again to Timoshenko who bet out 150,000 which was enough to put Yeah to a decision for all of his chips. Yeah let it go and Timoshenko collects another pot.

Another preflop raise from Joon Hee Yeah brought another reraise from an opponent. This time, Yeah made it 32,000 to go. Rober Karian peeked at his cards when it was his action and quickly moved in for 178,000. Nobody wanted to play.

Timoshenko Continues to Dominate

Joon Hee Yeah raised to 32,000 from under the gun, before Yevgeniy Timoshenko popped it up to 102,000 from the button. The blinds folded as did Yeah, and Timoshenko continues to apply pressure with little resistance as he extends his already-massive chip lead.

Yevgeniy Timoshenko is a one-man wrecking crew. He opened another pot to 30,000. This time, Joon Hee Yeah tried to play back at him with a raise from the big blind to 80,000. Timoshenko, sitting behind a stack so large it extends almost a foot out from the rail, shrugged and reraised all in. Yeah looked disgusted as he folded.
