Off on the Right Foot

This opening event of the 2009 Aussie Millions Poker Championship has a buy-in of AUD 1,100 and a guaranteed prize pool of AUD 500,000. Tournament staff have already indicated that more than 500 players have registered for the combined Day 1a and Day 1b fields. That's an impressive accomplishment given that just three years ago, the Main Event attracted only 418 players.
