Tabatabai Advances to Round Four

Suchanek falls short of the money
Suchanek falls short of the money
Jan Suchanek opened to 300 and John Tabatabai made the call from the big blind. On a flop of {2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}, Tabatabai checked and Suchanek led out for 400. With the action on Tabatabai, he made it 1,100 and was immediately followed by a reraise to 2,200.

With it back on Tabatabai again, he moved all in for an additional 6,950. After minutes of deliberation, Suchanek made the call.

Suchanek: {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Tabatabai: {4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The turn fell a meaningless {Q-Spades}, but when the {A-Hearts} landed on the river Tabatabai made his straight to double, leaving Suchanek with only 1,600 in chips.

On the following hand, Tabatabai moved all in with {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Suchanek made the call with {3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. The board ran out {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{K-Spades}{10-Hearts} to see Tabatabai advance to round four against Jason Gray.

Pesek Evens the Score

Pesek deserves a drink after that match!

With around 8,000 in the pot, Michael Pesek moved all in for his last 5,550 on a board reading {5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}.

David Gent went into the tank for over two minutes before making the call, only to see Pesek table {Q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Gent threw his cards into the muck and was left with only 300.

Forced all in from his big blind, Gent's {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} couldn't improve against Pesek's {K-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} when the board ran out {10-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}{K-Hearts} to square the ledger as the both of them took a well earned break.

With some heavy raising preflop, we found Jan Suchanek betting out 1,400 on a board of {8-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and John Tabatabai called.

The turn {J-Diamonds} went check-check and when the river landed the {6-Hearts}, Suchanek made it 3,400 to go with Tabatabai making the call after a ninety second tank.

Suchanek tapped the table, showing his {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Tabatabai tabled {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} to take the pot and leave Suchanek with only 3,900.
