Heads-Up Chip Counts

The players are back and the cards are in the air. Here are the chip counts as they enter heads-up play:

Matt Dietrich: 585,000
Raemin Alexander: 210,000

The Aussie Millions Gold Ring is up for grabs!

Gary Benson Eliminated in 4th Place (AU$16,790); Chris Ozer Eliminated in 3rd Place (AU$22,075)

In some frantic preflop action, we've just seen a three-way all in that delighted Raemin Alexander as he laughed, "May the big stack win" as he jumped out of the way.

The short-stacked Ozer had moved all in under the gun, with Benson following from the button. Dietrich called and had them covered in the small blind.

Gary Benson: {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
Matt Dietrich: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Chris Ozer: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}

The board landed {3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Alexander gets his wish as the kings of Dietrich hold up as he scoops the pot. After the chips were cut down Benson and Ozer were both sent to the rail.

We're now heads up!

Players Getting a Little Fiesty?

The players are starting to get more aggressive as preflop raises are opening themselves up to being three-bet-shoved upon with the blinds starting to reach that level.

Also we've noticed a little bit of fiesty chat amongt the players. In a recent pot Chris Ozer fired bets of 16,000 on the flop and turn against Gary Benson before moving all in at a board of {9-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}.

Ozer appeared to try to antagonize his opponents with quips such as "we haven't got all night here" -- a line that doesn't really make much sense when players only have thirty seconds to act anyway.

Benson is taking it with a wry grin as he has now climbed up over 200,000 chips.

Clock Paused

The clock has been paused while the players have a quick chat. Gary Benson is particularly animated as the discussions heat up.

Joel Small Eliminated in 5th Place (AU$10,540)

The action folded around to Matt Dietrich who raised to 25,000. Joel Small moved all in from his favorite position in the small blind while Gary Benson also called in the big blind.

They saw a flop of {J-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Benson checked to Dietrich who moved all in covering Benson who quickly made the call.

Benson: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Small: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Dietrich: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}

Dietrich had the rockets but Benson had flopped a set, while Small was in trouble. The turn was the {2-Hearts} and river the {4-Spades} and Small is eliminated in 5th place as Benson captures a huge pot.

Benson is up to 150,000 with Dietrich back to 147,000.

Gary Benson Triples Up

All in for his last 26,000, Gary Benson was called by both Matt Dietrich and Raemin Alexander. The flop came {6-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} and both players checked. Alexander isolated the action when the {Q-Diamonds} hit the turn and he tabled {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs} for top pair, but Benson held {8-Hearts} {8-Spades} for the flopped set. The river was the {5-Clubs} and Benson has climbed back up to 80,000.
