Hamagami Surges To Chip Lead

Peter Rho opened with yet another 4,500 raise from under-the-gun and found callers in Clark Hamagami, Rayan Nathan and Jonathan Karamalikis.

Everyone checked the flop of {4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{J-Clubs} and when the {J-Spades} landed on the turn Karamalikis and Rho checked before Hamagami led out for 10,500. Nathan folded, and Karamalikis raised it to 28,500. Once Rho was out of the way Hamagami made the call.

The river fell the {8-Hearts} and after Karamalikis checked, Hamagami slid three stacks of chips into the middle for a bet of 50,000. Karamalikis thought for a little before eventually mucking.

With that hand Hamagami took the chip lead jumping to 148,000 as Karamalikis slipped down to 117,000 in chips.

Rayan Nathan was in yet another hand, this time raising to 4,500 out of the small blind. Larry Karambis made the call and both players saw a flop of {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{K-Spades}.

Nathan led for 9,000, which was followed by Karambis raising it to 20,000 total. Nathan let go of his hand and slumped back to 42,000, while Karambis climbed to 65,000 in chips.

Nathan Takes Down First Pot

With it folding around to Mark Kassis in the small blind, he completed and Rayan Nathan raised to 5,600. Kassis made the call and then checked the flop of {K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}.

Nathan cut out a bet of 11,000, which put Kassis into the tank. He eventually made the call, and again checked to Nathan when the {Q-Diamonds} fell on the turn. Nathan proceeded to move all in for around 20,000 and Kassis folded his hand.

With that pot, Nathan moves up to 55,000 in chips.
