Juanda Sends Seidel Sailing

Erik Seidel Eliminated
Erik Seidel Eliminated
2008 Aussie Millions runner-up Erik Seidel has been eliminated at the hands of John Juanda.

It was a battle of the blinds, with Seidel limping from the small blind and Juanda raising to 18,000 in the big blind. Seidel made the call.

The flop was {2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Seidel checked to Juanda who bet 21,000. Seidel uncapped his cards and appeared to be set to muck before he announced a raise for all of his last 108,000 chips.

It was back with Juanda who hesitated on several occasions before eventually dropping his calling chips into the middle.

Juanda tabled {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for just top pair, but it proved to be a great call as Seidel was shooting with air with his {K-Hearts}{9-Spades}.

The turn was the {4-Clubs} and river the {6-Spades} and Juanda takes the pot to move up to 283,000 as Seidel exits the floor to a nice round of applause.

Tony Bloom opened the button to 15,000 which was immediately followed by Patrik Antonius raising enough to put Bloom all in as he willingly obliged by sliding the remainder of his chips into the pot.

Bloom: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Antonius: {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

The board fell {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Bloom doubled to just under 140,000 in chips as Antonius slipped to under 200,000.

Shak Turns Up The Heat On Seidel

Dan Shak, during Event #6
Dan Shak, during Event #6
Not for the first time this evening, Eric Seidel raised to 16,000 from the button and Dan Shak deliberated in the big blind. He made the call and they saw a flop of {8-Clubs}{K-Spades}{7-Hearts} and both players checked. The turn was the {9-Diamonds} and Shak led out for 25,000 with Seidel making the call.

The river was the {Q-Diamonds} and Shak moved all in, covering Seidel. "Do you want me in the hand?" questioned Seidel as he was forced to use one of his time breaker buttons for an extra 30 seconds of thought. In the end he made the fold and Shak flashed the {6-Spades}, slowly followed by the {5-Spades} for the bottom end of the straight.

Shak is up to 330,000 with Seidel back to 122,000.

The End For Kagawa

Masa Kagawa sent to the rail
Masa Kagawa sent to the rail
Masa Kagawa raised to 21,000 before Erik Seidel reraised to 40,000. The clock was put on Dan Shak who reluctantly folded his big blind and Kagawa quickly called.

Kagawa: {K-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Seidel: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}

Shak then rolled his mucked cards over flashing his pocket eights, but when the flop came down {Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{8-Spades} he was even more disgusted as he would've flopped a set. The turn was a {7-Spades} and the river the {10-Clubs} and Seidel takes it with a pair of tens to eliminate Kagawa from the tournament. Seidel is up to 210,000.

The board ran out {A-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Spades} and Gray doubled to over 160,000 as Le slipped to 80,000 in chips.
