Hand #168 - Elliot Smith

Stewart Scott has the button. He raises to 200,000 and Elliot Smith makes his move. He raises all in from the big blind and Scott stands up and asks for a count. The tournament staff count out the chips and determines that it's 1,195,000 more to make the call. Scott does in fact call and shows {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}. Smith's {A-Hearts}{8-Spades} is a slightly ahead as his tournament life hangs in the balance.

The flop comes {9-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} and Smith stays in the lead for the moment. The turn is the {K-Hearts} which gives Scott a straight draw and more outs to eliminate Smith from the tournament. Elliot Smith must dodge a ten, jack or queen to stay alive and manages to do so when the {7-Spades} falls on the river.

Elliot Smith doubles back up to 2,850,000 while Stewart Scott is still going strong with 8,135,000.

Hand #164 - Peter Rho

Elliot Smith has the button. Stewart Scott calls from the small blind and Peter Rho checks his option. The flop comes {7-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} and Scott bets 200,000. Rho calls and it brings out the {Q-Hearts} on the turn. Scott slows down and checks to Rho who fires out a bet of 300,000. Scott folds pretty quickly, showing {J-Clubs} {5-Clubs}.

Six Out of Seven

This is quickly turning into a battle for second place between Elliot Smith and Peter Rho. Stewart Scott is running away with the chips. He's won six out of the last seven pots.

Hand #162 - Stewart Scott

Stewart Scott has the button. He makes it 200,000 to play and Peter Rho raises to 500,000 from the small blind. Action folds to Scott who announces all in and Rho quickly gives up his hand.

Hand #161 - Stewart Scott

Elliot Smith has the button. He folds. Stewart Scott completes the small blind and Peter Rho declines his option. The flop is a very well-connected {10-Spades} {8-Clubs} {J-Hearts}. Scott quickly fires out a bet of 200,000. Rho calls to the turn, which is the {9-Diamonds}. Both players check, bringing us to the {A-Diamonds} river. Scott bets 400,000. It looks like another value bet. Rho folds, and another cheer goes up from the gallery outside. Scott shows {7-Clubs} {9-Hearts} for the flopped straight. He's on fire!
