We lost Dan Shak just before the break. He opened for 1,500, then called a raise to 4,000 by small blind Ben Charlton. Shak was clearly hoping to induce a fold on the {2-Diamonds}

flop when he bet 6,000, then moved all in over the top of Charlton's check-raise to 20,000. Charlton, it turned out, called faster than you can say, "Flopped the nuts". He tabled {A-Diamonds}

. Shak didn't even wait to see if the board came running nines before getting out of his chair and leaving (it didn't).

Charlton is among the chip leaders now with 90,000.
