Docherty's House is Full

As we mentioned earlier, now that the super-short stacks have mostly flamed out of the tournament, the players have an average stack of 70 big blinds. That gives them some room for post-flop play. It was on the turn that we came to the table of David Docherty and Annica Ivert. The board showed {J-Spades}

. After Ivert checked, Docherty reached for chips and made the price to see the river 33,500. Ivert made the call.

The river was a repeater -- the {8-Diamonds}

. Ivert again checked. This time Docherty grabbed 65,000 chips and pushed them into the middle. Ivert took her time making her decision but did ultimately call. Docherty turned over {J-Clubs}

for jacks full of eights. There were only two hands that could beat him. Ivert didn't have either.

Docherty continues to hang around. He's got 348,000 while Ivert, who came into the day with more than half a million chips and the chip lead, is down to 360,000.
