Ivert Starts to Feel the Pressure

Richard Ashby raised to 32,000 from the cutoff and Annica Ivert popped it up to 96,000 from the small blind. The action was then to Sam Capra in the big blind, who put in an additional raise to 200,000 total. Ashby stepped out of the way and Ivert deliberated before making the call.

The flop landed {K-Hearts}{8-Spades}{9-Spades} and Ivert bet out only 65,000 into the 450,000 pot. Capra instantly declared a raise to 200,000 and the action was back to Ivert. She went into the tank for a long time and was visibly distressed by the decision. With hands on her head, the normally statuesque figure of Ivert was put under immense pressure by the camera crews and media surrounding the table. She eventually gave it up and Capra captured a massive pot to move up to 1.1 millions. Ivert slipped to 500,000.
