Christian Heich - A Man To Watch

Christian Heich
Christian Heich
Many observers, both in the Crown Poker Room and in our live shout box, say that Christian Heich is the dark-horse of the final three tables. With an Aussie Millions Gold Ring already under his belt, the German continues to build a fierce reputation down under, most recently with a massive bluff against Chris Chronis.

Chronis raised to 30,000 from the cutoff and Heich popped it up to 106,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded and Chronis made the call.

They went heads-up to a flop of {Q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, and Heich led out for 105,000. Chronis called. The {6-Hearts} fell on the turn and Heich checked to Chronis, who slid 200,000 into the middle. Heich then check-raised all in for an additional 478,000 chips!

Chronis went into the tank, as per most decision making at this stage of the tournament, before eventually deciding to give it up. Heich then flashed {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} for just ace-high!

Chronis slips to 730,000 while Heich is now looking very dangerous with over 1.3 million chips.
