Chris Chronis Eliminated in 15th Place (AU$65,000)

Chris Chronis - 15th Place
Chris Chronis - 15th Place
Just a few short hands ago, Chris Chronis had more than 800,000 chips. Now he's out of the tournament in 15th place.

Chronis opened a pot for 30,000 from late position and was called by small blind Christian Heich. Stewart Scott then reraised from the big blind to 100,000. Chronis and Heich both called, creating a pot with 300,000 chips in it before any community cards were dealt.

The flop came down {8-Hearts} {3-Spades} {Q-Clubs}. Heich was first to act and checked. Scott then led out for 250,000 chips. Chronis pushed all in for the rest of his stack, 550,000 chips in total. Heich folded. When Scott quickly called, Chronis knew he was in desperate straits.

Chronis: {Q-Diamonds} {10-Clubs}
Scott: {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs}

Chronis' top pair was no good against Scott's overpair of kings. He was left to look for a queen or a ten on the turn or river. The turn was the {6-Hearts}; the river {7-Spades} sent a stunned Chronis to the rail.

Scott is the chip leader now with 1.8 million chips.
