Tripping to The Wire

Shawn Buchanan raised preflop, and Jason Gray called out of the big blind. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{k-Spades} and Gray check-raised Buchanan's flop bet.

The turn was the {7-Spades} and Buchanan called Gray's bet.

The {9-Spades} hit on the river, and Gray now checked to Buchanan who bet. Gray made the call, and mucked after Buchanan showed {9-Hearts}{q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

Buchanan is now over 80,000, while Gray slips to under 30,000.

Three of a Kind; Except Two of Them are Out

Stud

Bach: {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Steicke: {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{x}
Waggoner: {9-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{x}

David Bach has taken us closer to the winning post by eliminating both Marsha Waggoner and David Steicke in the same hand.

Waggoner was in for the last of her chips on third street, while Steicke went down to the last card. In the end it would Bach's three of a kind that would send both of his opponent's to the rail and send him out into the chip lead.

Demetriou Put Down

Hold'em

Harry Demetriou is no more in the Horse, after being eliminated by Richard Ashby.

Ashby has been on a charmed run, after falling as low as 2,500, he's now up to 74,000.

Preflop, Demetriou put in his final 300 chips, with Nick Wright, Ashby, and Mike Watson calling.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Clubs} with Ashby betting, Watson folding, and Wright calling. The turn was the {3-Hearts} and Ashby bet again, with Wright calling again. The river was the {10-Clubs} and Ashby fired out a third bullet, this time Wright folded.

Ashby rolled over {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for a full house, eliminated Demetriou in the process.

Woh! Horsie

The action has eased a bit, as we've moved to two tables. Andrew Brown predicted ten bust outs in an hour. We're counting seven, so he was pretty close to the mark.

We're kind of hoping he'll predict another ten in the next hour.

Walser's Last Ride

Omaha Hi-Lo

Preflop, David Steicke three-bet taking Severin Walser to the flop of {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

On the flop Steicke fired with Walser flat calling to the {4-Hearts} turn. On the turn Steicke bet, Walser raised all in. Steicke called.

Steicke: {A-Clubs}{a-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Walser: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

The {6-Clubs} hit the river and with no low on offer David Steicke's two pair was best, sending Walser out of the tournament.
