Karamalikis Takes One On the Turn

From under the gun, David Steicke raised to 56,000. Both Jonathan Karamalikis and Steve Friedlander called out of the blinds.

The flop came down {Q-Spades}

and everyone checked. The turn card added the {5-Spades}

to the board and Karamalikis bet 65,000. The other two players folded and he won the pot.

Multiplicity

This event is only the 5th tournament at the 2010 Aussie Millions in Melbourne, but it's already David Steicke's second final table. Steicke placed 4th in the third event of the series, $1,100 Limit Hold'em. Steicke erned $9,000 AUD for his finish there and is already better than that here. The way things are looking now, Steicke should also improve past his 4th-place finish.

Over at the $1,100 H.O.R.S.E. event, Oliver Gill is also at his second final table of the series. He placed 4th in the $1,100 Pot-Limit Omaha event as is looking to better that performance in his latest deep run. You can check out the coverage of that event using the right-hand menu.

Karamalikis Check-raises the Flop

From the small blind, Jonathan Karamalikis raised to 38,000. Steve Friedlander was in the big blind and made the call.

and Karamalikis checked. Friedlander bet 40,000 and then Karamalikis raised to 105,000. Friedlnder mucked and Karmalikis scooped in the chips.

Steicke Takes Another One

Preflop from the button, Jonathan Karamalikis made it 37,000 to go. David Steicke in the big blind made the call and the two went to the flop.

Flop: {9-Clubs}

Steicke checked the flop and Karamalikis made it 40,000. Steicke made the call and the {9-Spades}

peeled off on the turn.

Steicke again checked and this time Karamalikis fired out a bet of 90,000, which Steicke called.

The {5-Clubs}

hit the river and Stiecke check-called Karamalikis' bet of 170,000.

Steicke showed {9-Diamonds}

for trip nines to win the pot.

Friedlander Takes One Off Karamalikis

Jonathan Karamalikis has been the most aggressive player at this final table. He's often the player to open the action for a raise preflop and this hand was no different. Karamalikis made his standard opening raise at this level to 37,000. Steve Friedlander made the call.

and Karamalikis checked. Friedlander bet 35,000 and Karamalikis called.
