Khouiss Not Happy

Sam Khouiss is up to his old tricks, after losing a recent hand.

Catching the action on the turn on a board of {2-Clubs}{q-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} Khouiss fired out 800 and found a caller, before the action was checked on the {K-Diamonds} river.

Khouiss' opponent flipped over pocket kings which was good as Khouiss angrily mucked his cards and started a tirade of swearing and complaining towards his opponent.

Another player on the table responded, "It's poker, stop complaining, it's not his fault..."

Khouiss retorted, "It is his fault, f#%king idiot. I'm sick of these bad beats I'm copping!"

Interestingly another player at the table had already received a warning for swearing, so it will be interesting to see if there is any further table talk!

A Few More Bounties

A couple of other bounties in the field that we haven't yet mentioned include Sam Korman, Aaron Wilt, Neil Channing, Dan Shak, Sorel Mizzi, Dani Stern, Jarred Graham, Matthew Pearson and winner of Event#2 Andrew Hinrichsen.

Selbst Steals from Portaro

The money was all in the middle on a flop of {5-Spades}{q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}; Bruno Portaro turned up {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} but was well behind Vanessa Selbst's {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}.

The turn and river came down running {9-Clubs},{9-Hearts} and Portaro is down to 6,000 while Selbst doubles up back to 10,000.

Judah Wheels In Big Pot

One of the bounties in today's event is Australian Poker Hall of Fame member Mel Judah. His table is not too pleased though, as Judah as almost doubled up to ensure that bounty is out of reach for the moment.

The chips went in on the turn on a board of {K-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Spades}{A-Hearts} with Judah tabling {3-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the wheel to be in control against his opponent's {K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for two pair. The river was the {10-Clubs} and Judah is up to 17,000 chips.

The Bounty Effect

It's interesting to observe how the "Bounty" tag affects play here this afternoon, both for those wearing the tag and those chasing the bounty.

Barny Boatman is happily bopping away to the music in his iPod and flashing his bounty tag at anyone who looks in his direction. While Jay Rosenkrantz commented to us that a few guys on his table are already eyeballing his bounty tag.

"Wouldn't it be fun if the bounty went up in value, the longer the tournament went on?" posed Rosenkrantz, perhaps looking to ensure his survival a little longer here this afternoon.

Assadourian Doing Deals Already?

Eric Assadourian doesn't seem to be confident about his chances in today's tournament and has already tried to strike up a deal with the rest of his table.

He's requesting that he receive a $200 rebate if anyone knocks him out, as he's been designated a bounty today. No word yet on if an agreement has been reached.

Gao All But Gone

It was heads-up between Reza Vakili and Jie Gao on a flop that read {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}; Vakili led out for 2,250 and Gao called, before calling Valiki's bet of 3,075 on the turn of the {3-Clubs}.

On the river {a-Hearts}, Vakili pushed all-in for 4,550. Gao went deep into the tank before DeucesCracked sensei and table bounty Vanessa Selbst called time.

Gao eventually made a crying call, tabling {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} but lost all but 500 of his chips to Valiki who showed {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for the flush. Valiki is up to 20,000.

Grunter Arrives, Cabret Departs

Another late arrival is Grant Levy who is not a bounty today but has found himself at a interesting table that includes Sam Khouiss, Manny Stavropoulos, Sherrie Gelberg and Todor Kondevski.

Another tough table has just got a little easier as Joe Cabret is an early elimination after going with his {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} against an opponent's {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. The board ran out {Q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}{A-Hearts} to see Cabret depart the table of Dave Lee, Billy "The Croc" Argyros and the bounty of Ben "CNT_CRUSHER" Delaney.

Huntly Eliminated

Dennis Huntly just walked past the media desk and advised us that he was eliminated at the hands of Mike Ivin.

As Huntly recalled, he got the last of his money in the middle on a board of {k-?}{q-?}{7-?}{4-?} with {q-?}{j-?}. However Ivin called him down with {k-?}{q-?} for top two pair.

"I was a non-believer," said Huntly. "The river bricked and I'm busto." Ivin is up to 23,000.
