Kagawa Eliminated at the Hands of Ivey

Kagawa no more
Kagawa no more
Here's some more Phil Ivey action for you. Just as he wasn't looking interested at all in playing poker, he's stormed back by taking down a few pots. This one here was a big one.

Ivey raised to 25,000 and Masa Kagawa reraised from the big blind to 85,000. Ivey potted to put Kagawa all in and Kagawa made the quick call for all of his chips.

Ivey tabled a dominated {A-Diamonds} {9-Spades} to Kagawa's {A-Clubs} {K-Spades}.

The flop came down {9-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} and put Ivey in the lead with a pair of nines. The turn was the {3-Clubs} and then the river sealed thing with the {6-Diamonds}. Kagawa was eliminated on the hand and Ivey moved up to 290,000.

If you remember back to the World Series of Poker Main Event final table, Ivey busted after getting all in with {A-?} {K-?} to Darvin Moon's {A-?} {Q-?}. Moon spiked a queen and sent Ivey to the rail. This time, it was Ivey on the positive side of a three-outer.
