Here Comes Day 2!

Aussie Millions Table
Aussie Millions Table

Welcome back to the 2011 Aussie Millions in Melbourne, Australia for the day 2 action of Event 1: $1,100 Opening Event!

The last three days saw a total of 1,000 entries to create a $1,000,000 prizepool and offer a $200,020 first prize to any player who is good enough to outlast today’s field.

It will be 143 who will start the day hopeful of outwitting and outmaneuvering their opponents to be crowned champion, with only 90 players going home with at least $2,020 more than a memory.

The leaderboard is dominated by relative unknowns looking to make their mark at this years championship, including; Martin Drewe (218,800), Tolly Sakellariou (207,400), John Overbeek (197,200) and Costa Argirai (179,300) and Melanie Wohlers (176,400).

Some local players starting the day with healthy stacks include Nik Lackovic (112,700), Antonio Casale (110,900) and Jonathan Karamalikis (107,300). Leading the international contingent and looking to take the title off Aussie soil include Jessica Dawley (70,400), Barny Boatman (74,200), Scott Montgomery (39,900) and Simon Watt (37,600).

With 53 eliminations until the magic number of the bubble bursts, expect a keen mixture of patience and well-timed aggression as play kicks off at 12:30 EST. Remember to keep it here and watch along as the PokerNews Live Reporting Team is in Melbourne to bring you the first champion of the 2011 Aussie Millions!
