Hachem Scolds Vinson

Level 7 : 400/800, 0 ante

Joe Hachem opened to 2,500 second to act, and Ben Vinson three-bet to 8,700 across the table. Hachem called the extra, and it was heads-up to the flop.

The dealer fanned out {2-Diamonds} {J-Spades} {J-Hearts}, and Hachem checked. When Vinson bet 10,000, though, Hachem check-raised with a big stack of chips. Vinson's cards quickly hit the muck, and Hachem has moved back up to about 78,000 with that pot.

Kastle Surrenders to Swick

Level 7 : 400/800, 0 ante

Casey Kastle has slipped to 39,000 in chips after losing a pot to Jon Swick.

The action folded around to Kastle who raised to 1,700 from the hijack position; Swick called from the big blind and both players checked the flop of {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and the turn of the {A-Clubs} before Swick fired out 2,400 on the river of the {4-Spades}.

Kastle looked confused and thought about it for over a minute before making the call, only to angrily muck after Swick showed {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for a flopped full house! Swick is now up to 29,000 in chips.

Kastle KOs One

Level 7 : 400/800, 0 ante

Casey Kastle raised to 2,300 before the flop, and the player next to him reraised to 8,500. Kastle made the call, and the rest of his opponent's 2,500 chips went into the middle following the {4-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} flop.

Kastle turned up {9-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {K-Clubs} while the short-stacked player was in good shape to double up with {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} {5-Clubs}.

The turn {6-Clubs} didn't change anything, but the river {10-Hearts} improved Kastle to the winning trips and earned him the knockout.

That leaves 18 players in the field, and we're a couple eliminations away from the final two tables.

Williamson III is No More

Level 7 : 400/800, 0 ante
Robert Williamson III: done and dusted
Robert Williamson III: done and dusted

Full Tilt Red Pro Robert Williamson III is no longer part of the $5,300 Pot Limit Omaha event after being sent to the rail by Grant Trask.

Williamson limped in from under the gun and the action folded to Trask who raised to 3,100 from the cutoff. Williamson repotted and Trask called before repotting Williamson's bet after the flop of {3-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{5-Spades}.

Williamson went all-in and Trask snap-called, tabling {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} against Williamson's {A-}{A-}{J-}{7-} (rainbow). Williamson stayed ahead on the turn of the {Q-Clubs}, but the {8-Spades} fell on the river, giving Trask the flush.

With Williamson gone, Trask is looking unstoppable, now up to 138,000 in chips.

Bloch Knocked Out

Level 6 : 300/600, 0 ante
Andy Bloch

Graeme Putt kicked off a limp-fest when he called in early position. William Thorson followed suit, as did the next two players. When the action came to Andy Bloch in the big blind, he reraised the pot -- 3,600 total. That only managed to chase out Putt as the other three players all called.

The flop came {2-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {9-Clubs}, and Bloch moved all in for 10,000. Thorson's raise to 20,500 isolated him against Bloch, and the two men went to a showdown with Bloch's tournament life hanging in the balance.

Thorson turned up the {9-Spades} and asked, "Am I good?" His full hand was {6-Clubs} {6-Spades} {4-Clubs} {9-Spades}, and Bloch's {K-Spades} {K-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {4-Spades} was well in front. The turn {J-Hearts} was safe and sound, but the river {6-Hearts} was a disaster for Bloch. Thorson found his full house, and Bloch has been sent to the exit with 21 players remaining.

Chopportunity Knocks

Level 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

We've just witnessed our first split pot of the night between Jon Swick and Michael Greco as the action continues here in Event #12.

Swick raised to 1,500 before the flop and Greco was the only caller, making it heads-up to the flop of {4-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}, which they checked. Swick led out for 2,500 on the turn of the {K-Diamonds}, Greco called and then both players checked the river of the {3-Hearts}.

Greco: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Swick: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

Both players had aces and both players have two pair and five letters in their last name. How much more even can you get?

Williamson Yields to Hachem

Level 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

Joe Hachem is unusually quiet today, Robert Williamson III is his normal talkative self, and the two have played several pots with each other in the last orbit or so. We pick up another one as Grant Trask limped in under the gun. Hachem raised to 2,100 a few seats over, and Williamson three-bet to 7,800. Hachem was the lone caller this time, and they went heads-up to the flop.

It came {6-Diamonds} {7-Spades} {4-Hearts}, and both men checked through to the {3-Spades} turn. Hachem bet the pot, 17,100, and Williamson took a long pause. He cut the calling chips out from his stack and eyed up the potential damage for a couple long minutes before deciding to fold and save his last 31,000 chips for another spot.
