We can also confirm that we are now down to 22 players in the $5,300 Pot Limit Omaha event.
A player in early position limped into the pot to open the action, and Casey Kastle and one other player followed suit. That brought the action to Carlos Mortensen, and he squeezed in a pot-sized raise to 3,300. Both the initial limper and Kastle called, while the fourth player elected to duck out right there.
Three-handed, the flop came 
, and the first player checked. Kastle bet 13,000, and that was enough to cover both opponents. Mortensen called all in for 11,300, and the third player did the same for his last 8,000. Cards up, gents:

The turn 
kept Mortensen safe, and the river 
was kind to him as well. His aces hold to earn him a much-needed pot, moving his stack all the way up to 40,800.
There was already 37,100 in the pot when we walked up to a board of 
. It was heads up, and Joe Hachem had a small bet of 8,200 out in front of him. Grant Trask was deep in the tank when we joined the action, and he'd take a few long minutes to consider before splashing the call into the pot.
Hachem had the nuts; he turned over 
to take the pot, moving up to 71,000 in the process. After a quick early start, Trask has fallen back to about 27,000, just below average now.
Michael Greco opened the pot to 1,400 from middle position, and he found one call from Carlos Mortensen who came along from the small blind.
Heads up, the two men checked through the 
flop, and Mortensen led out with 2,500 on the turn. Greco called, and Mortensen checked to him after the filled out the board. Taking his cue, Greco bet 7,000, and Mortensen tanked and called for about a third of his remaining stack.
Greco turned up 
-- the nuts. That pot moves him up to about 57,000 while Mortensen has some short-stacked work to do with his ~15,000 remaining chips.

The action folded to Mortensen who raised to 1,100 from middle position before Swick reraised to 2,100 from the cutoff. Mortensen was the only caller and he then led out for a further 2,100 after the flop of .

and Mortensen quickly mucked his hand. Swick is now up to 26,000 in chips.
The 53 entries have generated a prize pool of AUD $265,000. That money will be divvied up amongst the last eight players with the minimum payout being worth double the buyin -- $10,000. As we've discovered, Full Tilt Red Pro Robert Williamson III is a fan of lamingtons. And like any poker player, he's also partial to chips - lots of them - and he's just scored some more after eliminating another opponent.

The player under the gun limped in, and he was followed into the pot by Toby Lewis, Graeme Putt, the player on the button, and small blind Tony Bloom. From the big blind, Sammy Youssef raised to 2,800, folding the first limper. Lewis, however, moved all in for 11,300, and the rest of the table folded back around to the big blind. Youssef, and Lewis was at risk as the cards were turned up:

The flop gave Youssef some help, and the 
turn pulled him into a big lead with two pair. Lewis couldn't connect with the river, either, and he has been eliminated.
A member of the casino staff has just made the rounds through our four tables with another box of those damn delicious Lamingtons. Robert Williamson III was one of the first recipients, and it was love at first sight.
"I mean, I tend to favor most kinds of food, but these in particular are fantastic," he said, wiping the remnants off his fingers. Williamson and this blogger may have tossed around the idea of importing several kilos of the treats back into the States. The legal ramifications are still in question, however, and if Lamingtons aren't a controlled substance, they probably should be.
Across the room, Andy Bloch was taking delivery of his own Lamington, so we headed over to see what he thought. Bloch's reaction was a bit more subdued, shrugging and telling us they're "good." He didn't seem particularly enthused, but they must have been good enough because Bloch's desert quickly disappeared in two big bites.
