Jarred Solomon Eliminated in 7th Place (AUD$13,000)

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante
Jarred Solomon - 7th Place
Jarred Solomon - 7th Place

Jarred Solomon missed the first hand back from the break, and now he is going to wish he missed the second hand as well.

Folded to Solomon in the cutoff seat he would raise to 27,000. Martin Kozlov was on the button and he would elect to three-bet to 59,000. The blinds got out of the way and the action was back on Solomon.

Solomon thought for some time before shoving his stack. Kozlov would snap-call and Solomon would see his tournament life at risk.

Solomon: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Kozlov: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

By the time the board had ran out {7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} there would be a sweat for Solomon, needing a club to stay alive and double-up. But it wasn't meant to be as the river bricked the {8-Spades}.

Solomon glanced down at the stacks, making sure Kozlov definitely had him covered and when sure he made his way to the rail. Kozlov now has over 1,000,000 and has a dominating chip lead at the table.

Solomon adds AUD$13,000 in prizemoney to his already successful Aussie Millions after taking down a gold ring earlier in the series.

Presto Chango for Liu's Stack

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Gerasimos Deres raised to 24,000 under the gun, and Jarred Solomon flatted. Shao Liu called as well out of the big blind, then said he checked dark. The flop fell {6-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Action on him, Deres bet 36,000. Deres slowly folded. Liu slid out his whole stack, making the total bet 91,000. Deres called unhappily.

Liu: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Deres: {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The {2-Spades} turn improved Liu to a boat and locked up the hand. After the meaningless {9-Hearts} river, Deres doubled him up to 255,000. Deres still has 350,000.

Judah Splits To Stay Alive

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Mel Judah shoved his button for the third time, this time geting the call from Jarred Solomon and Judah's tournament life on the line for the first time.

Solomon: {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Judah: {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

It was bleak days for Judah, and by the time the board had ran out {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Hearts} Judah had said "well done", to Solomon.

However, the {j-Hearts} on the river would counterfeit Solomon's two-pair and split the pot, keeping Judah alive with under 100,000

Allin Times Two

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Milan Gurung Eliminated in 8th Place (AUD$10,000)

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Milan Gurung - 8th Place
Milan Gurung - 8th Place

Milan Gurung was in bad shape after doubling up Jarred Solomon's pocket tens. Then he doubled and won another pot to get back into it. But Solomon was there with tens again to put a stop to Gurung's run.

Gurung: {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Solomon: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop put Gurung way out in front. Solomon counted out the chips to double him and his hand was in midair on the way to put the stack down in front of Gurung when the {10-Hearts} spiked on the turn. Solomon pulled his hand back, as Gurung had gone from the lead to drawing dead in one card. Gurung said his goodbyes and was the first player to be eliminated from the final table.

Gurung Doubles, But Still In Danger

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

After Milan Gurung was left crippled he would have to move allin and soon and he chose the under the gun position as the right time to move his stack in the middle.

Gurung would only be shoving for around 20,000 and would manage one call from Mel Judah on the button.

Judah: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Gurung: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

The board would run out {j-Spades}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}, with the sweat for Gurung on the flop and turn, but he would manage to double-up.

Gurung would still be the dominated short stack at the table and would need to make some moves soon.

Solomon's Mines Replenished

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Milan Gurung raised to 22,000, and next to act, Jarred Solomon reraised him to 62,000. Gurung checked out his opponent's stack and called. The flop came {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}, and Gurung snap-shoved. He just had Solomon covered, meaning Jarred had to risk is tournament life to call. Solomon thought about it for awhile. He counted and recounted his stack, started to push it forward and stopped, shuffled some more, then finally made the call.

Gurung: {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Solomon: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The {k-Clubs} on the turn gave Gurung an open-ender to go with his flush draw. "Four of diamonds," someone called from the rail. The dealer was pretty close with the {5-Diamonds}. Solomon doubled to 360,000, leaving Gurung crippled with 20,000.
