Baller, Table of Eight?

It's not every day you can scramble together 38 players to put up $100,000 on a single tournament. Yet somehow, this month of January 2011 has supported two such events on opposite halves of the world just two weeks apart.

Well, it's time for the high rollers to hit the ATM again. Rumors have been circling for a week or so, and T.D. Christian has just made the announcement that tickled the ears of the 28 players still seated in this event.

On January 27th, the Aussie Millions will host the largest buy-in tournament ever assembled. It will cost $250,000 to enter the one-off event, and the winner of the single eight-handed table will take all $2,000,000 up for grabs.

As soon as the announcement was made official, Tony G scurried over to the floorman to find out if there was still a seat open at that very expensive table. If he needs backers, we can afford to buy, like, half a percent of his action. Maybe.
