With about 6,000 in the pot and a board reading

, an early-position player bet 3,500 only to have Brendon Rubie, who was sitting with a big stack, push back to the tune of 7,500. The original bettor thought long and hard before conceding the hand.
Rubie is up to 50,000.

While late registration is still available for another 40 minutes, we can confirm that there are currently 248 players who have entered today's action.
We came to the action on Sorel Mizzi's table with a board showing

and Mizzi in the hand with three opponents.
The first player to act opened for 600 and Mizzi immediately popped it to 2,100. The other two players in the hand sent their cards into the muck and the action was back on the original aggressor. At this point the player shoved for only a small amount more and Mizzi made the call.
Mizzi:

Opponent:

The
on the river wasn't the diamond that Mizzi needed as he sent a portion of his chips in the wrong direction.

We were just informed that Toby "810ofclubs" Lewis is in the field. A member of the Crown poker staff informed us that he just got in from New Zealand this morning where he had severed as an extra in the Lord of the Rings prequel, "The Hobbit." We believed it for awhile, but it turned out to be a bit of a joke.

We didn't catch all the action, but we do know that McLean Karr got his last 8,000 or so all in preflop holding
and was dominated by the
of his unknown opponent. The

flop was not help to Karr, but the turn made his heart beat as he initially thought the
was a much-needed ten. Unfortunately for him, it was not, and neither was the
river.
Karr failed to improve and has been eliminated from the tournament.

We came to the Aussie Millions opening event reigning champion's table with a board showing

and Drewe check-raising all in. His opponent was deep int he tank as he contemplated the call. The rest of the table leaned on their chairs and twiddled their thumbs restlessly as they waited.
"Will you show?" Drewe's opponent asked. Drewe shook his head with a slight smile and the player went back into the tank. Eventually the player gave up and sent the pot to Drewe.
