Ready . . . Take Aim . . . Event #6 $1,100 NLHE w/ Rebuys is About to Begin
With the Tournament of Champions, Main Event, and $100,000 Challenge scheduled to take place this weekend, the biggest names in poker have made their way the Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia for the 2012 Aussie Millions Poker Championship. While all of those events will have to wait for a couple days, we expect many of the pros in attendance to take a stab at today's tournament, Event #6 $1,100 NLHE w/ Rebuys.
Last year, this very event attracted 86 entrants, who combined for 255 rebuys and add-ons and created a prize pool of $341,000 AUD. That year's final table consisted of an eclectic mix of players including Eoghan O'Dea, a prelude to his November Nine appearance in the World Series of Poker Main Event; tough Brit, JP Kelly; the amiable Randy Dorfman, who began as chip leader (he would go on to make the final table of the 2011 Aussie Millions final table as chip leader as well); and a local pro by the name of Oliver Speidel.
Both O'Dean and Kelly fell during final-table play, and eventually it was Dorfamn versus Speidel in heads-up action. The American did everything he could to win, but in the end it was the Australian who prevailed. In the last hand, Dorfman opened for 12,000 with 
and Speidel, having a 2-1 lead, moved all in holding 
. Dorfman made the call and his tournament came to an end when the board ran out

We've seen both Dorfman and Speidel around the Crown in the past couple days, so we expect they'll be back in action and looking to repeat last year's success.
