Time To Break

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

The remaining players have been sent on a break. Table 18 is still the closest table to finishing up, with 3 players remaining.

Foster Makes Good Call, Still Busted

Joshua Foster gets $4,000 for coming fifth at his table, but for the cards, he could've won more.

The action folded to him in the small blind and he raised, only to see Melanie Weisner move all-in behind him. He thought for a while and made a good call with {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, as Weisner had {k-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

The board ran {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{6-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} to pair the New Yorker's king. Both players made good plays, the cards just fall that way sometimes.

Polchlopek In Control

Table 18 is the closest table to reaching a finish. Going into three-handed play, James Obst was in control. That was, until a massive hand recently played out.

We caught the action with a flop showing {7-Spades}{k-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Obst in the hand against Michal Polchlopek. This is when Polchlopek check-raised to 47,000 and Obst made the call. The {3-Diamonds} on the turn saw Polchlopek lead this time, making it 60,000 to go. The {5-Hearts} on the river saw Polchlopek shove his stack all in - for 160,800.

Obst went deep into the tank, thinking for a few minutes before Polchlopek eventually called the clock on him. Immediately after having the clock called on him, Obst flung his cards into the muck and sent the big pot to Polchlopek.

Guang Lu-ser

Guang Lu has fallen in 6th place ($4,000) from table 15 after back-to-back pot losses.

He was unlucky in the first hand as his {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} lost out to Ross Parkhill's {a-Clubs}{5-Hearts} when the latter spiked a five on the turn.

That left him with 25,000 chips and they went in from the early position with his holding of {k-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Rhys Jones raised to isolate with {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and stayed ahead on the {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{7-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} board.

Tran Out; Five at Table Fourteen

Trung Tran shoved his stack all in from under the gun holding {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and the action quickly flew around to Melanie Weisner in the big blind. Wesiner lifted one card in the air - the {j-Hearts}. Wesiner then lifted her other card and as soon as she saw the {j-Clubs}, made the call.Weisner also picked up $1,000 for eliminating Tran who was a bounty player.

The {10-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop gave Tran a small sweat but when the turn and river bricked out, Tran was out in 6th place on his shootout table.

Fallen in a Dyke

Peter Dykes is the last player to receive $3,000 after he was eliminated by Sam Capra.

Capra opened from UTG and called when Dykes three-bet him from the hijack. The flop fell {8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{a-Hearts} and Capra check-called a 21,000 c-bet before both player checked the {k-Spades} turn.

The river cam {a-Diamonds} and Capra set Dykes in for his last 50,000 chips. Dykes was talking as if he thought his opponent had slow played ace-king but he couldn't lay down his {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. Capra didn't have ace-king but he did have {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a full house and that was good.

No More Betts on Jabbour

Mark Betts took care of Sayed Jabbour in 6th place at his table to move up to 280,000 in chips. The chips went in on the river of a {5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{7-Spades} board.

Jabbour check-called off his stack and was shown {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} by Betts for a rivered straight. He mucked his hand and made a quiet exit.
