Levy's Aces No Good

Grant Levy got his stack all in preflop holding {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} and was looking good as he came up against the {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} of an opponent.

Of course, its not always that easy and when the {5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{6-Spades} board ran out, Levy would be heading to the rail.

McCorkell McBusto

Craig McCorkell held {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} got his stack all-in on a flop showing {2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{j-Spades}. Unfortunately for the Brit, his opponent held {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and when no help came for McCorkell, he was sent to the rail.

Toothpick Doubles

Antonis Kambouroglou has a bounty lanyard around his neck and after a double-up, is now able to hang on to that lanyard.

We caught the action on a flop showing {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. This is were Kambouroglou got all his chips in holding {a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. Kambouroglou received the call from an opponent who held {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

The {5-Clubs} on the turn helped Kambouroglou and when the {3-Hearts} hit the river, a straight would be enough for Kambouroglou as he took the double-up.

On The Rail

A couple more players have been noticed on the rail and therefore it can be discerned that they have busted from the tournament!

Elpayaa Eliminated

A woman limped from under the gun before Salman Behbehani limped in behind from middle position and then Joseph Elpayaa raised all in for 1,250 from the hijack seat. On the button, Jamie Pickering flat-called and then the woman also called. Behbehani reraised all in after that for 7,300 total. Pickering mulled things over and then folded. The woman made the call.

Behbehani: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Elpayaa: {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Woman: {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}

The flop, turn and river ran out {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and Behbehani's two pair won him the pot. He more than doubled up, eliminating Elpayaa in the process.

News From the Floor

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

James Demspey (7,150) and Rupert Elder (8,600) are both struggling to win pots. Dempsey has a smile on his face, whereas Elder looks like he wants to be elsewhere.

Joe Elpaya is up to 11,000 after his kicker was good against an opponent. He raised from UTG and c-bet the flop before the rest was checked down. The final board read {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and the American’s {a-Spades}{j-Spades} bettered the local guy’s {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. “I snap fold,” he added when asked if a river bet would’ve worked.

Faraz Jaka, fresh from a PCA Main Event final table, is down to 16,000. He raised to 1,000 from late position and folded to the small blind raise to 2,400. Before he folded Jaka asked his opponent how much he had. The response was 22,000, but it looked more like 12,000 to these trained eyes.

Ones Beat Twos

Grant Levy has just managed a double-up. Levy held {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} and was all in preflop against {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}. The board ran out {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Levy took down the pot.

Couple More Gone

A couple more players have been spotted on the rail.

JP Killing

JP Kelly has just picked up a nice and healthy pot. The action started when a middle position player opened the pot to 1,125. Kelly then three-bet to 3,300 from the small blind and this is when his opponent jammed all in. Kelly made the call and found himself out in front with {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} against {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

The {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades} board ensured that Kelly would knock out a player and add to his stack.
