Déjà Vu... Lin Doubles Through Ellis

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Celina Lin is a fighter. She's managed to double several times here on Day 4, but every time she's slid back down.

Most recently, Lin got her last 77,000 all in holding the {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs} in the small blind against Ray Ellis, who held {K-Clubs}{5-Spades} on the button. The {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop was interesting as it paired Lin's ace but also delivered Ellis the nut-flush draw. Lin couldn't watch as the dealer burned and turned the {8-Spades}. It was a black card, but it was a safe spade for Lin. The dealer then burned again and put out the {9-Hearts} on the river.

Lin clapped in celebration as she extended her 2013 Aussie Millions Main Event life.

Wilson Moves All in Drawing Dead

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Scott Wilson (Day 2) Eliminated
Scott Wilson (Day 2) Eliminated

Scott Wilson and Mark Betts were heads up on a flop of {8-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{a-Clubs}. Betts check-called a bet from Wilson, and the turn was the {6-Hearts}. Betts checked again, Wilson moved all in for around 200,000, and Betts snapped it off.

Wilson: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Betts: {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Wilson, who informed PokerNews he had misread his hand and thought he was jamming with the {K-Clubs} in his hand, was drawing dead, and was already out of the tournament area by the time the {10-Hearts} completed the board.

Betts now sits with 670,000 chips.

Rabichow Gets There on the River

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Kevin Rabichow was all in preflop for 48,000 holding the {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and was up against the {A-Clubs}{4-Hearts} of Celina Lim. The {k-Clubs}{a-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop paired both players, but Lin was out in front with a pair of aces. The {J-Clubs} turn gave both a flush draw, but one again Lin was out in front with her ace-high draw.

With that said, Rabichow could also with with a non-club ten on the river, which is what he got when the {10-Hearts} plunked down. Rabichow hit Broadway to double, though he is still extremely short.

Shak Wins Massive Pot; Takes Chip Lead

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Dan Shak
Dan Shak

Shoshiro Karita opened to 20,000 from early position, James Obst three-bet to 46,000 from the small blind, and Dan Shak cold four-bet to 200,000 from the big blind. Karita quickly folded.

Obst started talking with Shak, and we're not exactly sure what he said to Shak, but we're positive that said the word, "aces."

Eventually, Obst announced that he was all in. Shak snap-called the 625,000-chip bet.

Obst: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Shak: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

Shak had the Aussie crushed, and held as the board ran out {5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. Shak now has 1.3 million chips, while Obst is down to 385,000.

Chan Hits a Three-Outer to Double Through Markholt

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

"All in and a call Table 14," we heard a dealer yell. We made our way over to see Ping Chan all in for 235,000 with the {K-Spades}{6-Spades} on a {K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} flop. Unfortunately for him, he was dominated by the {a-Hearts}{K-Clubs} of Lee Markholt.

We've already seen some three-outers hit here today, and this would be another instance as the dealer burned and turned the {6-Diamonds}. Markholt was in disbelief while Chan let a slight smile creep across his face. The {J-Diamonds} river failed to change a thing, and Chan doubled through the seasoned pro.

Keeton Doubles Through Ellis

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Ray Ellis opened in early position, Sean Keeton three-bet shoved for 110,000 on the button, and the action folded back to Ellis, who tanked for the better part of two minutes.

Eventually, he grabbed a handful of chips and tossed them forward.

Ellis: {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Keeton: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

Keeton flopped a set when the dealer fanned {k-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts}. It was all over when the {2-Clubs} turned, and a meaningless {k-Diamonds} completed the board.

Keeton doubled to around 250,000 chips, while Ellis is still very health with 1.04 million.

Sibaei on the Rise

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

With around 110,000 in the pot and a board reading {K-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, Nazih Sibaei checked from under the gun and Patrik Antonius bet 62,000 from the button. Sibaei responded with a check-raise to 150,000, and after thinking for a solid two minutes, Antonius slid in a call.

When the {10-Spades} completed the board on the river, Sibaei wasted little time in moving all in for just over 200,000 and Antonius snap-folded.

Lin Doubles Through Ellis Again

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

In another hand from last level, a short-stacked Celina Lin found herself all in preflop holding {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} and was racing against the {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} of Ray Ellis. The {2-Spades}{3-Spades}{7-Spades} flop was safe for Ellis, as was the {3-Clubs} turn. That meant Lin needed either an ace or king on the river to stay alive.

"Ace," Jay Tan called for Lin headed to the river. Ask and ye shall receive as the {A-Spades} spiked. Both girls celebrated as Tan informed Lin, "I called it for you."

Simon Says, "I Nguyen"

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

There was an all in and a call over at Table 24 on the last hand before the break. When we arrived we saw around 150,000 in the pot and a board reading {3-Spades}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}.

Minh Nguyen was all in for roughly 30,000 holding the {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}, but he was drawing dead against the {5-Hearts}{6-Hearts} of Jeremy Simon, who barely had the bigger stack. The meaningless {K-Diamonds} was run out on the river, and after the stacks were counted down, Nguyen made his exit from the tournament in 35th place.
