Vic Spadavecchia Doubles With Cowboys

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

It was folded around to Robert Nguyen in the small blind, who raised to 40,000. Vic Spadavecchia made it 80,000 from the big blind and Nguyen made the call. The flop came {5-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Nguyen checked. Spadavecchia paused for a moment before moving all-in and was almost beaten into the pot by Robert Nguyen who snap called.

Spadavecchia opened {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for an overpair of Kings, and Nguyen opened {j-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for an open ended straight draw. The turn was the {8-Diamonds}, giving Nguyen a pair and even more outs, but it was the {4-Hearts} on the river that gave Vic Spadavecchia the double up.

Grocott Gets Through Williams

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Alex Grocott opened to 50,000 and Frank Williams shipped it in.

Grocott made the call with the {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} and was racing for his tournament life against Williams' {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}.

Grocott smashed the {6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flop and held through the {2-Hearts} turn and {6-Spades} river to double up.

Robert Nguyen raised to 40,000 in middle position and it was folded around to Karib Yustinus in the small blind who moved all-in for 152,000. Mogens Hansen folded his big blind and Robert Nguyen made the call, tabling {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Karib showed {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and needed some help from the board.

The board was no help, running out {3-Hearts}{4-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and eliminating the Crown Poker Room regular Karib

Najeem Ajez Eliminated in 8th Place ($14,960)

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Najeem Ajez open-shoved for the third time in five hands and while there were no callers on the first two, Robert Nguyen called this time.

Ajez was flipping for his tournament life with the {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} versus Nguyen's {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}.

The {5-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop was good for Ajez, but the {5-Spades} turn looked dangerous. Finally, the board paired again on the {k-Diamonds} river and Ajez was counterfeited, busting eighth.
