Godena Doubles; Barer Treads Water

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Ami Barer called off with the {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} against a Jarryd Godena 150,000-chip shove.

Godena was dominating with the {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} and held on a {5-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} board to double up.

After picking up that much with a series of successful preflop raises before the hand, Barer maintains about the same chip-leading stack size he started the final table with.

Benjamin Leblond Eliminated in 7th Place ($19,455)

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Benjamin Leblond
Benjamin Leblond

Stevan Chew raised to 16,000 and Benjamin Leblond moved all-in for 78,000. Jack Salter moved all-in over the top, and Stevan Chew got out of the way.

Jack Salter {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Benjamin Leblond {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The flop {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds} was safe for Leblond, but the {a-Clubs} gave Salter the lead and reduced Leblond to one of 3 remaining Queens to win the pot. It wasn't to be as the {9-Spades} hit the river, sending Leblond to the rail in 7th place.

Pritchard Bubbles The Final Table

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Jason Pritchard
Jason Pritchard

Jason Pritchard got short and got it in with the {a-Spades}{9-Spades} versus Ami Barer's {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. They both flopped a pair on the {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{k-Clubs} flop.

However, Barer made a second one on the {7-Clubs} turn. The {q-Clubs} river was no help to Pritchard and as he hit the rail eighth, the final table of seven was set.

Spano Chewed

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Robert Spano
Robert Spano

Stevan Chew doubled once to climb out of the basement and is now back in contention after busting Robert Spano.

Spano got his short stack in with the {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}, but couldn't beat Chew's {8-Hearts}{10-Hearts} after the {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{q-Hearts} flop gave Chew a straight. The board ran out {j-Clubs}{q-Spades}, taking Spano with it.

Salter On The Wound

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Jack Salter is making a run at it now after getting it in with the {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} versus Stevan Chew's {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}.

Sixes held on a {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{10-Spades} board to vault Salter up the leader board and leave Chew lacking.
