O'Dwyer Pays Off Peters

Level 14 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

David Peters raised the button to 70,000 holding the {k-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Steve O'Dwyer called with the {a-Spades}{4-Hearts}. O'Dwyer then check-called a bet of 60,000 on the {k-Spades}{6-Hearts}{k-Hearts} flop before check-calling one of 140,000 on the {3-Spades} turn.

O'Dwyer checked for a third time on the {J-Hearts} river and then hit the tank when Peters bet 225,000. Several minutes passed before O'Dwyer called with ace high, and he saw the chips absorbed into Peters' stack.

Peters Gets Value

Level 14 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

David Peters limped the button with the {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Steve O'Dwyer checked his option with the {2-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

O'Dwyer then check-called a bet of 35,000 on the {2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop before both players checked the {10-Spades} turn. O'Dwyer checked for a third time on the {8-Diamonds} river, and Peters bet 80,000 with his flush. O'Dwyer thought long and hard, eventually making the call. Ship the pot to Peters.

Level 14 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Steve O'Dwyer raised to 75,000 from the button with the {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and David Peters three-bet to 230,000 with the {7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. O'Dwyer responded by moving all in and Peters quickly folded.

Two Pair for O'Dwyer

Level 14 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

On the button, Steve O'Dwyer raised to 75,000 with the {A-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. David Peters called from the big blind with the {Q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, and the flop came down {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Peters checked, and O'Dwyer bet 40,000. Peters called.

The {8-Spades} on the turn was checked by both players, and then the {A-Clubs} fell on the river. Peters bet 130,000, and O'Dwyer called to win the pot with two pair, aces and sevens.

Heads-Up Chip Counts

Level 13 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

The final two players are now on a short break while the tournament staff rearranged the final table for heads-up play.

Connor Drinan Eliminated in 3rd Place (AU$1,021,909)

Level 13 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Connor Drinan - 3rd Place
Connor Drinan - 3rd Place

Connor Drinan was first to act and shipped the button for 323,000. David Peters then three-bet all in over the top and Steve O'Dwyer folded the big blind.

Drinan: {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Peters: {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

Drinan needed some help, but found little on the {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop aside from a gutshot. The {9-Spades} turn was no help to Drinan, and neither was the {9-Clubs} river. Drinan fell in third place, but thanks to the four-way deal he locked up AU$1,021,909.

Drinan Stays Alive

Level 13 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

David Peters raised to 54,000 with the {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} from the button and Connor Drinan defended the big blind with his {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. The {10-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop saw Drinan ship for his last 112,000, and Peters called.

Neither the {K-Clubs} turn nor {Q-Clubs} river helped Peters, and Drinan doubled through.

Fabian Quoss Eliminated in 4th Place (AU$956,896)

Level 13 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Fabian Quoss - 4th Place
Fabian Quoss - 4th Place

After David Peters opened the button for 50,000 with the {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, Steve O'Dwyer three-bet to 150,000 from the small blind with the {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, and Fabian Quoss called off for 60,000 from the big blind holding the {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Peters folded and it was O'Dwyer vs. Quoss with the latter at risk.

The {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop was no help to Quoss, and he was left drawing dead on the {Q-Spades} turn. The river was meaningless, and Quoss, who was just two days removed from winning the $100,000 Challenge, exited in fourth place for AU$956,896
