Lee Leads!

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Manig Loeser open shipped the button with the {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}.

Ajay Gnanasambanthan moved all in from the small blind with the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Wing Sang Lee woke up in the big blind with the {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}, having them both covered.

The board rolled out a sweaty {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, but Lee's aces to held to send both players out and Lee into a big chip lead.

Davies "Runs So Bad"

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

"Oh sorry, I didn't even see it. Sorry buddy. I run so bad."

Those were the words of Scott Davies after he had gotten his stack in with the {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and was looked up by Bobby Zhang with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}. The flop {7-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Spades} left the American with very little hope, but lady luck came to the rescue with a back door straight thanks to the {8-Diamonds} turn and the {10-Spades} river.

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Start-of-the-day chip leader Francesco Sergi was among the most recent casualties and he is joined on the rail by Paul Sharbanee and Matas Cimbolas among others. For Cimbolas, it is the second cash here in Melbourne after already running deep in the Opening Event.

Battle of Andrew's Goes to Michael

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

It was a coin flip that decided over the tournament life of Andrew Scarf and his three-bet shove was called by Andrew Michael with the superior stack. Michael had the {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} and Scarf the {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. The board ran out {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} and the very last community card improved Michael to a pair of aces and sent Scarf to the rail.

The Jack For The Crack

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Marie Simard got in a preflop raising war with Thomas Karadimos that saw her get it all in for almost 150,000 holding the {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}.

Karadimos had the {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} and looked to send her broke through the {4-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} board to the turn. However, the magical {j-Spades} on the river saved Simard and she's now risen to a spot near the top of the counts as Karadimos falls near the bottom.

Schneider Bluffs into Exit

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Dylan Garland has taken over the stack of table neighbor Zachery Schneider after the latter bluffed the river of a board {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for his last 50,000 chips with the {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. Garland looked him up with the {A-Hearts}{A-Spades} and is still among the biggest stacks.

Voegele Busts MacDonnell

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Octavian Voegele just soared to the top of the chip counts after relieving Marc MacDonnell of his stack.

Voegele raised under the gun and after MacDonnell three-bet the button, he shipped it in. MacDonnell called it off with the {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} setting up a classic race versus Voegele's {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}.

Voegele took the lead on the {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop and held through the {4-Spades} turn and {10-Diamonds} river to send MacDonnell out and crest the 400,000-chip mark.

Warne Is Doing Fine

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Max Silver, Wing Sang Lee and Don Mishra have all increased their stacks and Shane Warne has joined them. Roberto Damelian was all in for around 60,000 chips and Warne reshoved with slightly more from three seats over. Damelian's {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Warne's {J-Clubs}{J-Clubs} both flopped a set on the board {J-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} and the former cricket star almost doubled up in this hand.
