Hachem Hits Gin on the River

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Just before the break, 2005 World Series of Poker champ Joe Hachem won a big pot off Josep Maria Galindo.

We picked up the action with around 10,000 in the pot and a board reading {5-Hearts}{10-Spades}{a-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Hachem bet 8,500 from the small blind, Galindo called from the big, and the under-the-gun player got out of the way to make it heads-up action to the {J-Diamonds} river.

Hachem bet again, this time 21,000, and Galindo thought for a bit before making the call. Hachem silently rolled over the {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} to show that he had hit a gutshot to Broadway, and Galindo shook his head in disbelief before sending his hand to the muck.

Speidel: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Dunst: {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

The board ran out {7-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Dunst found a way to double up, leaving Speidel behind with 80,000 chips.

Li Finishes Off Pollak

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Action folded to Benjamin Pollak in the small blind and he moved all in for his last 7,000, which Victor Li decided to call from the big.

Pollak: {6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Li: {q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}

Pollak was behind, but he pulled ahead on the {6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop. Still, Li flopped an open-ender to go with his over. The {A-Spades} turn was of no consequence, but the {7-Diamonds} river was. Pollak improved to two pair, but it was to his detriment as the same card gave Li a winning straight.

Aces for Quoss

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

From under the gun, Fabian Quoss raised to 3,800. An opponent in the hijack seat reraised to 6,200, and action folded back to Quoss. He reraised to 14,000, his opponent moved all in for approximately 55,000. Quoss quickly called with the {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}, and his opponent had the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}.

The flop, turn, and river ran out {K-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}, and Quoss won the pot to bust his opponent and climb to 130,000 in chips.

Painful River Cripples Bardah

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Ronnie Bardah
Ronnie Bardah

Bernard Beh just raised to 3,500 and the action folded to Ronnie Bardah in the big blind. Bardah three-bet to 8,800 and Beh moved all in for 55,200. Bardah wasn't too pleased having to a play a massive all-in pre flop, but he made the call.

Bardah: {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}
Beh: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

The flop brought out {7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, keeping Bardah in the lead, and the {7-Clubs} on the turn took away some of Beh's outs. The river however, to much dismay of Bardah, brought the {A-Hearts}.

"And the river was a club!" Bardah yelled.

"Four outs, only four out!" Bardah continued, as he was left with just 2,000 chips.

Beh was pushed the pot and Bardah sat back down smiling, "I'm just complaining like a little baby."

On the very next hand a player raised to 3,500 and Bardah called all in from the small blind. The player in the big blind called, and Bardah lifted his cards up high, showing them to the player on his right in anticipation of the flop.

It was clearly visible Bardah held {Q-Spades}{2-Spades}, and he showed a big smile when the flop brought out {K-Spades}{3-Spades}{7-Spades}. Bardah flopped a flush, but he had to wait out the action, which was checked all the way down on {5-Spades} turn and the {4-Spades} river.

"Flopped it" Bardah laughed, showing his cards to the table.

"Nobody has the six or the ace of spades?" he added, but both his opponents mucked, keeping him in the game to mount a possible comeback. A few minutes later Bardah Tweeted the following, as his comeback is now well underway.

Ronnie BardahWas a 110k pot , left me with 2k , we triple and then we double! 16,800 at 1600!! #neverGiveUp #AussieMillions
