Hands #54-58: Aces and Kings Around

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #54: Matthew Wakeman raised to 180,000 with the {J-Hearts}{7-Spades} on the button and Clinton Taylor defended {J-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. The flop came {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Taylor led for 210,000 with top pair and Wakeman called with his open-ended straight draw. The {4-Clubs} paired the turn and Taylor bet 210,000 once more, which prompted Wakeman to raise to 780,000. Taylor snap-called and the {K-Hearts} river completed the board.

Wakeman checked behind with the words "I give up" and Taylor scooped a vital pot to overtake Wakeman in the counts.

Hand #55: Kenney raised to 175,000 on the button with {A-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Mike Del Vecchio three-bet to 475,000 with {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} in the big blind. Kenney double-checked his cards and tossed them into the muck.

Hand #56: A walk for Andrew Hinrichsen with {J-Diamonds}{6-Spades}.

Hand #57: In the small blind, Hinrichsen limped with the {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} and Wakeman checked behind with {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. The flop brought {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Hinrichsen checked top set, Wakeman checked behind. After the {8-Clubs} turn, Hinrichsen bet 140,000 and Wakeman called with the double gutshot.

The {6-Clubs} came on the river and both players checked. As soon as Hinrichsen showed his cards, Wakeman grinned immediately.

Hand #58: Del Vecchio opened to 160,000 in the cutoff with {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and Hinrichsen on the button called with {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. On the {J-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop, both players checked to see the {8-Diamonds} on the turn. Del Vecchio now bet 320,000 and Hinrichsen folded.
