Westmorland Doubles

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

On the three-way flop of {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}, Jordan Westmorland jammed over the top of a bet by Shane Warne and a cold-call. Warne let go and the third player in the hand eventually called.

Westmorland turned over {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for the straight to the king and faced {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}. The mandatory sweat came with the {5-Diamonds} turn, but the {8-Clubs} river blanked to let Westmorland double for 8,250.

Moments later, Connor Drinan also doubled and remains shy of the starting stack just like Westmorland.

Jiang Sends Hulme to the Rail

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante
Sosia Jiang in the A$ 50,000 Challenge
Sosia Jiang in the A$ 50,000 Challenge

Picking up the action on the {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop, Sosia Jiang in the under-the-gun position made it 1,600 to go and Andrew Hulme raised to 4,700. Jiang eyed the stack of her opponent and Hulme replied "I started the hand with 21,000", after which Jiang moved all in and received an instant call by Hulme.

Andrew Hulme: {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Sosia Jiang: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

The {A-Spades} turn instantly improved Jiang, leaving Hulme with just two outs, and the {J-Spades} river was a blank.

"Do you have more than me?" Hulme asked and Jiang nodded. By then, Joshua Abady returned to the table and added to the chatter. "Bet, raise and shove? Did it get in after the flop or turn?" he asked, then suggested some Kiwi-related headlines for the outcome of the hand.

Westmorland Takes One Out

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

The flop read {q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{10-Hearts} and the player in the small blind checked, followed by Koray Aldemir in the big blind, Jordan Westmorland under the gun and Shane Warne in middle position. The player in the cutoff then moved all in for 9,750. The small blind folded as did Aldemir. Westmorland thought for a moment and called. Warne deliberated for a minute before agonisingly folding his hand.

"Kings?" asked the cutoff player to Westmorland, before turning over {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for top pair.

Westmorland nodded and tabled {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} for the over pair and the lead.

The board then ran out the {5-Spades} and {a-Clubs} to see Westmorland hold with the higher pair resulting in his opponent hitting the rail.

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

On a completed board of {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{7-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, Victor Chong in the small blind bet 2,500 with around 10,000 behind and Jia Tang moved all in from the hijack with the far superior stack.

Chong gave it plenty of consideration but couldn't find the fold. One player immediately put Tang on queens and that's what he rolled over with {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. Chong mucked {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} for trips jacks and headed out of the tournament area.
