Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Gavin Flynn
Gavin Flynn

Over on the feature table, Gavin Flynn three-bet jammed for what appeared to be 557,000 in the big blind and initial raiser Matthew Wakeman called.

Gavin Flynn: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Matthew Wakeman: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

It was a classic flip and Flynn fell behind on the {K-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop. He would find no further help on the {A-Spades} turn and {J-Diamonds} river, bowing out in 20th place for AU$61,500.

Yet another all in showdown took place on the feature table and it was Pim De Goede who called all in after his raise had resulted in the shove of Michael Egan.

Pim De Goede: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Michael Egan: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The board came {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and De Goede was eliminated in 19th place for AU$61,500. All remaining 18 players will now get balanced over the last three tables and have AU$82,000 locked up.

Jack Salter Eliminated in 18th Place (AU$82,000)

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Jack Salter
Jack Salter

In the last hand on the outer tables, there were two all ins, but just one ended up in a call. Anthony Kingston limp-shoved into a raise to 140,000 by Norihiro Otani and got through with it.

On the other table, Jack Salter raised to 50,000 in the small blind and called the three-bet to 130,000 by Gyeong Byeong Lee in the big blind. The flop came {J-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Salter check-called a bet of 125,000. They checked the {6-Clubs} turn and the {5-Diamonds} came on the river. Salter had some 260,000 behind and Lee moved all in.

Salter was sent deep into the think tank.

"Do you have queen jack? This feels like a queen jack kind of hand," Salter said but received no reaction. He eventually called and Lee rolled over the {8-Spades}{7-Spades} for a runner-runner straight and Salter's {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} was no good, he bowed out in 18th place for AU$82,000.

Del Vecchio Over Three Million

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Mike Del Vecchio
Mike Del Vecchio

Norihiro Otani opened to 80,000 and Mike Del Vecchio defended his big blind.

The flop came {2-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Del Vecchio check-called 75,000. The turn {6-Spades} was checked by both players.

The river was the {10-Clubs}. Del Vecchio bet 210,000 and Otani quickly fold.

That pot pushed Del Vecchio over the three million chip mark.

Michael Addamo Eliminated in 17th Place (AU$82,000)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Michael Addamo
Michael Addamo

Over on the outer tables, Bjorn Ostby raised to 65,000 first to act and Michael Addamo jammed for 935,000 in the big blind. Ostby had Addamo covered by very few big blinds and made the call.

Michael Addamo: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Bjorn Ostby: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

Ostby's rail asked for a jack but quickly changed their mind on the {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop. Neither the {9-Clubs} turn nor the {6-Spades} river improved Addamo and he was eliminated in 17th place for AU$82,000.

Andrew Theakstone Eliminated in 16th Place (AU$82,000)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Andrew Theakstone
Andrew Theakstone

First to act, Bjorn Ostby made it 65,000 to go and Andrew Theakstone in the big blind three-bet to 200,000 with a stack of around 675,000. Ostby moved all in and Theakstone called it off.

Andrew Theakstone: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Bjorn Ostby: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

The {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop gave Theakstone an additional flushdraw, but he needed the diamond when the {K-Clubs} followed on the turn. It wasn't meant to be for Theakstone, as he bricked off with the {3-Hearts} river and headed to the rail in 16th place for AU$82,000.

Simon Chahine Eliminated in 15th Place (AU$82,000)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Simon Chahine
Simon Chahine

It folded to Simon Chahine on the button who moved all in for 360,000. Hamish Crawshaw, who had just won a big pot off the Australian, was in the big blind and called putting Chahine at the risk.

Simon Chahine: {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
Hamish Crawshaw: {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}

The clear home favourite was roared on as the flop came {6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{a-Clubs} giving Chahine two pair. However, there were gasps as the {7-Diamonds} rolled off the turn giving Crawshaw back the lead.

The river was the {q-Diamonds} and Chahine was eliminated.

Anthony Kingston Eliminated in 14th Place (AU$82,000)

Anthony Kingston

Anthony Kingston moved all in for 205,000 from the button and was looked up by Mike Del Vecchio.

Anthony Kingston: {7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Mike Del Vecchio: {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The flop gave both players a pair coming {2-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Hearts} and the turn {7-Diamonds} improved Kingston to two pair as he looked to stay alive in the Main Event.

The river, however, was the {2-Spades}, counterfeiting the at-risk player and sending more chips Del Vecchio's way as Kingston was eliminated in 14th place for AU$82,000

Michael Egan Eliminated in 13th Place (AU$82,000)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Michael Egan
Michael Egan

Clinton Taylor raised and instantly called the shove of Michael Egan from one seat over with both players holding near identical stacks.

Clinton Taylor: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Michael Egan: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

The board came {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and the stacks were counted. Taylor had been all in for 910,000 and Egan had one ante more.

In the very next hand, Egan was forced all in for 5,000 and Taylor raised to isolate.

Michael Egan: {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Clinton Taylor: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

The {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop gave Egan an open-ender, but the chip and a chair miracle never came with the {5-Diamonds} turn and {10-Clubs} river both being blanks. Egan has been eliminated in 13th place and takes home AU$82,000.

Norihiro Otani

In the first major confrontation at the feature table since play was down to two tables, Mike Del Vecchio opened and Norihiro Otani three-bet from the blinds to around 250,000. Del Vecchio moved all in and Otani called for 975,000.

Norihiro Otani: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Mike Del Vecchio: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

There was to be no upset on the {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} run out and Otani doubled to around two million in chips.
