Lewis Times Two

Level 5 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The board read {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Toby Lewis checked to Mike Watson who bet 10,000 into about 30,000 from early position. Lewis called.

The river was the {3-Clubs} and Lewis checked again. Watson bet enough to cover Lewis' remaining 38,500 and Lewis snap-called, showing {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}. Watson exposed {q-Hearts}{x-} before sending his hand into the muck.

Sam Greenwood Doubles Through Burns

Level 5 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

We didn't arrive in time for the action, but Sam Greenwood got his remaining 152,000 in on a {6-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop with {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}, blind versus blind against the {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts} of Kahle Burns. The {j-Spades} turn opened up some chopping outs for Burns, but the {3-Spades} didn't do it.

Burns Gets Three Streets of Value

Level 5 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Tsugunari Toma checked a {6-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop and Kahle Burns fired 17,000 into 26,000 from early position. Toma called and then check-called another 45,000 on the {5-Spades} turn. The river came {k-Clubs} and Toma checked one more time. Burns bet 100,000 and Toma called again. Burns tabled {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and Toma sighed before he mucked.

Zhang Busts to Wolff, Re-Enters

Level 5 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Michael Zhang
Michael Zhang

George Wolff bet an unknown amount from the big blind in what looked like a three-bet pot on a {9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop. Michael Zhang raised to 40,000 in the hijack and Wolff shoved for 103,000 or so effective. Zhang quickly called off with {j-Spades}{9-Spades} but needed help against {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}. He bricked out on the {8-Spades} turn and {4-Diamonds} river.

Zhang reentered shortly afterwards. Meanwhile, Toby Lewis joined for the first time and Michael Soyza reentered.

Sam Greenwood Shuts Down Soyza's Comeback

Level 5 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Michael Soyza was all in from the cutoff for 58,500 and Sam Greenwood reshoved for about 140,000 from the button. Shan Huang thought for a bit in the small blind, but he eventually said, "Alright, I fold."

Soyza: {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
Greenwood: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

The board ran out {4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and Greenwood pulled ahead on the river to knock Soyza out.

Soyza Back in it

Level 4 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Michael Soyza stuck in his last 12,000 with {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and prevailed against an opponent's {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, making a full house.

Then, he shoved for 31,500 early and got called by Matthias Eibinger and Junichi Nakanowatari. Those two checked a {3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop, bringing an {8-Hearts}. Eibinger bet and Nakanowatari folded.

Eibinger showed {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} but had been caught on the turn by {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. The river was a {7-Diamonds} and Soyza has a playable stack again.

Addamo More Than Doubles

Level 4 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Three players made it to a {3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{6-Clubs} turn with around 160,000 in the pot. Michael Zhang checked from the small blind and Aaron van Blarcum bet 105,000 from early position. Michael Addamo called off for his last 78,000 from the cutoff and Zhang left the contest, leaving himself with around 130,000.

Van Blarcum: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Addamo: {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

Addamo needed to fade an ace or a six to claim the large pot and he did so as the {2-Clubs} completed the board.

Katz Gives Up on Turn

Level 4 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Cary Katz raised to 6,000 under the gun and Aaron van Blarcum called on his left. The rest of the table folded and they went heads up to the {8-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop. Katz checked to van Blarcum who bet 10,000.

"He's milking me!" Katz said and called.

The {9-Diamonds} appeared on the turn and Katz checked again. Van Blarcum bet 18,000 and Katz mucked.

Katz Has Better Kicker

Level 4 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Cary Katz and George Wolff met in a three-bet pot and they checked down to the river of the {3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds} board. Katz fired 38,000 from the hijack and Wolff quickly called from the button. Katz turned up {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and he took it down as Wolff flashed only the {a-Spades} while mucking the other hole card.
