Van Blarcum Blasts on Turn

Level 3 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Aaron van Blarcum made it 5,000 under the gun and Michael Addamo three-bet to 17,500 from the cutoff. Action returned to van Blarcum who called. The {9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} saw both players check and van Blarcum led out 51,000 on the {6-Hearts} turn. Addamo released his hand.

Level 3 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Luc Greenwood opened for 4,000 in the hijack and Rainer Kempe three-bet to 15,000 on his left. Seth Davies made it 40,000 on the button, and action folded back to Kempe. He used a time extension then moved in. Davies turned over his {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and called.

Kempe had {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} and found no bullet on the {3-Spades}{j-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} board. Davies had just over 260,000, which narrowly covered Kempe.

Toma Waits For the River

Level 2 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante

Three players checked down a board of {a-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} until Matthias Eibinger bet 6,400 on the river. Elio Fox folded from the button but Tsugunari Toma fired in a raise to 25,300 in the big blind. Eibinger tossed in a chip to call but couldn't beat {7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for trips.

Smith Busts to van Blarcum, Re-Enters

Level 2 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante

The action was picked up on the {8-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} turn and the pot had already grown to about 145,000. Dan Smith was in the big blind and he burned a timebank before he announced a bet of 70,000. Aaron van Blarcum needed only few seconds before moving all in and Smith lifted his hand, looked at his ace-king, and called for about 150,000 total. His {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} was, however, drawing dead as van Blarcum tabled {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}, leaving the {4-Hearts} meaningless.

Smith immediately bought back in and his new table in the A$100k Challenge also features Junichi Nakanowatari who joined the field just a few moments ago.

Sam Greenwood Tank-Folds the River

Level 2 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante
Sam Greenwood, pictured in an earlier event.

Matthias Eibinger put in a three-bet from the big blind to 21,000 and Sam Greenwood came along from the button, with a squeezed Shan Huang folding in the small blind. The flop came {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Greenwood called a barrel of 25,000. On the {3-Diamonds} turn, Eibinger needed a time extension before betting 55,000. Greenwood again went nowhere, leading to a {j-Diamonds} river. Eibinger bet 100,000, most of his own remaining chips and nearly all of Greenwood's.

The Canadian tanked long enough to use three time extensions. He smiled and said something to Eibinger that we couldn't hear. Eibinger didn't respond, and eventually, Greenwood folded.

Some More Entrants

Level 2 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante

Michael Addamo re-entered while the other players on the list are on their first bullet.

Zhang Tank-Folds to Burns

Level 2 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante

Kahle Burns checked from the small blind with {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} on the table and Michael Zhang bet 6,000 from the button. Burns check-raised to 22,500 and Zhang folded.

The river was the {8-Diamonds} and Burns used almost all his allotted time before announcing a bet of 57,000. Zhang burned a timebank but eventually laid his hand down.

More for Foxen

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Alex Foxen checked a {5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop and Seth Davies bet 2,500. Foxen raised to 7,000 and Davies peeled for a {7-Diamonds} turn. Foxen bet 17,500 and they went to an {a-Diamonds} river. Foxen bet 42,000 and Davies called just before his time was up.

Foxen showed {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a full house.
