Ostby Gets Dreamy Turn

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

With {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} on the felt, the big blind checked to Bjorn Ostby, who bet 2,000, a little under the pot. The big blind made it 5,000 and Ostby snap-called. Another 5,000 and a call on the {k-Clubs} river, and Ostby's {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} was good against {8-Clubs}{5-Spades} for trips.

Value for Veksler

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Pavel Veksler was in middle position and he and his neighbor in the hijack made it to the river of the {5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{10-Hearts} board. Veksler fired 3,000 into a pot of about 7,500 and his opponent paused for about a minute. Then he declared a call and Veksler turned up {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for a flopped set. The other player mucked and Veksler vaulted above the starting stack.

Blomberg Still Sliding

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Colton Blomberg looked to have gotten in a raising war, button versus cutoff, on {10-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Spades}. He had a raise to 2,000 in front of him and was facing a reraise from his opponent in the cutoff to 5,000. Blomberg opted to let it go, and he's down to about a third of the starting stack after most of a rough Level 1.

Glaser Flops Trips

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante
Benny Glaser
Benny Glaser

Benny Glaser was on the button, facing off against a player under the gun. They had made it to the {j-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{8-Spades} by the time the action was picked up. Glaser called a 2,100-bet and the {7-Diamonds} completed the board. Glaser called another shell, worth 5,000, and his opponent tabled {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for two pair. Glaser had him beat with {a-Clubs}{2-Hearts}.

Urbanovich's Block Bet Doesn't Work

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Dzmitry Urbanovich raised to 300 under the gun, receiving a call on his left before a player in the hijack squeezed to 1,400. Both players in early positions called and the action continued three-ways to the {4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop.

Urbanovich was the only player to check-call a 2,000-continuation bet. The {7-Hearts} turn was checked and Urbanovich went for a small lead on the {7-Diamonds} river, betting 400. His opponent, however, raised to 2,500 and Urbanovich sent his cards into the muck.

Koop Gets Almost All of it

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

A player checked in early position and called what looked to be a bet of around 5,000 from Niko Koop on {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{a-Spades}. The river brought a {3-Spades} and a check from the first player. Koop bet 17,000 and his opponent thought only briefly before splashing in most of his stack.

Koop showed {k-Clubs}{10-Spades} for the nuts.

Schlie and Blomberg Battle Again

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Nikolas Schlie (under the gun) and Colton Blomberg (button) had each put 2,700 into the middle after the {6-Spades}{a-Spades}{8-Spades} flop as the action got caught up just before the dealer rolled over the {7-Diamonds} turn card.

Schlie checked to Blomberg who fired 5,600 into a pot of just over 11,000. Schlie took his time and then called.

The {a-Diamonds} landed on the felt and Schlie checked one more time. Blomberg figured out it wasn't a great river card to continue betting and he checked back with {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Schlie opened {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} and raked in the pot.

Blomberg Smells a Set

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

With {2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{5-Spades} on the table, a player in the big blind bet 425 and Colton Blomberg flatted on his left. Nikolas Schlie raised to 2,425 from the button, forcing a fold from the big blind. Blomberg, however, matched the bid.

The river came {k-Diamonds} and Blomberged checked to Schlie who announced a bet of 7,500. Blomberg contemplated his decision for a while and then mumbled that his opponent might have turned a set of fives. Eventually, he released his hand and Schlie claimed the pot without showing any of his hole cards.
