After an unscheduled third day play due to an unexpectedly large field size, Joseph Antar emerged victorious in the Aussie Millions $5,000 Challenge, topping a 464-entry field and defeating Jennifer Cassell heads-up to claim the title, trophy, and $482,405 AUD top prize.

The win caps a standout year for the Australian pro, whose recent results include victories at the Australian Poker Open, Sydney Champs series, and Australian Poker League Poker Tour. Antar can now add Aussie Millions champion to his growing résumé.

Cassell check-called a 2,000,000 bet from Antar on the J♣3♦2♠ flop and and a 10,000,000 bet from Antar on the 5♠ turn after picking up a wheel draw.

The 7♣ completed the board and Cassell checked a final time. Antar moved all in — sending Cassell deep into the tank with her rivered pair of sevens.

Cassell pondered her decision for some time, but eventually committed her last 29,000,000 into the middle to look Antar up.

Antar showed her the bad news with his rockets and Cassell was eliminated in second place.
