$5K Six-Max Over 100 Entries

The $5K Six-Max has continued to grow, with 116 entries tallied so far. Eighty-seven of those remain, and they're on a 15-minute break.

As it stands, there's $533,600 in the prize pool. Late registration lasts until the start of Level 12, which is the second level of Day 2.

Chip Leaders Clash; Both on 4M Chips

Mishel Anunu
Mishel Anunu

Mishel Anunu and Mario Stanic are sharing the same table, with Stanic seated immediately to Anunu’s left. The pair appear to hold two of the biggest stacks in the room, and they recently clashed in a pot that ended with a hefty river raise from Stanic.

Anunu opened to 60,000 from the hijack and Stanic called from the cutoff.
The K65 flop checked through to the 9 turn, where Anunu fired 80,000 and Stanic made the call. The 4 river completed the board, and Anunu sized up to 125,000. After taking some time to think, Stanic raised sharply to 650,000, sending Anunu deep into the tank.

Starting the hand with just over 4.2 million, Anunu studied his opponent closely. Stanic, meanwhile, stared straight ahead with wired headphones in, giving little away. The table fell silent as Anunu weighed his options before eventually folding, awarding Stanic the pot and pulling the two big stacks to roughly even footing.

The table called for Stanic to show a bluff, but he only flashed the 7 and said, “That’s all you need to see.”

Alex Bylicki Joins the Big Stacks After 2 Million Chip Pot

Alex Bylicki
Alex Bylicki

In Level 21, with blinds at 15,000/30,000 and a 30,000 big blind ante, Alex Bylicki hauled in a monster pot to knock out two players to join the big stacks with 3.4 million, roughly three times the average stack.

The action kicked off with Bylicki opening from the hijack. The cutoff then reraised to 475,000, leaving just 5,000 behind, before the button moved all in for just under 800,000. The blinds quickly folded, and after a moment of thought, Bylicki made the call as the covering stack. The cutoff committed his last chip as well.

Cutoff: AQAll in
Button: AQAll in
Alex Bylicki: QQ

The 723 flop kept Bylicki firmly in front, and the J turn improved his position even further, leaving both opponents drawing to just one out. The K river completed the board, and Bylicki let out a visible sigh of relief as he boosted his stack by more than 1.2 million.

Aussie Millions Ambassadors Out + Mizrachi

Van Marcus
Van Marcus

Joe Hachem and Michael Mizrachi were the headline names coming into Day 2, but both have been eliminated during the last level.

Also joining the WSOP champions on the rail is Aussie Millions ambassador Van Marcus.

There are around ten minutes left in Level 19, with 117 players remaining. Once the level wraps up, the field will head on a 15-minute break.

Day 2 will conclude when nine players remain, or after 11 levels have been played, whichever comes first.

World Champ Joe Hachem Talks WSOP, Poker Today, & the One Title He Still Wants

Joe Hachem
Joe Hachem

More than 20 years have passed since the man from Down Under earned his place among poker's immortal few by winning the 2005 WSOP Main Event, yet memories of that electric night at Binion’s remain as vivid as ever.

Hachem's was a victory that helped define a golden era. Riding the shockwaves of the Chris Moneymaker-inspired Poker Boom, another charismatic, relatable world champion had emerged — the first, and still only, Australian to win the game's greatest prize.

If poker fans could borrow Doc Brown’s DeLorean for a night, there's no doubt July 16, 2005 would be a popular destination.

However, sweet as nostalgia can be, Hachem's focus is firmly on the road ahead. The Aussie Millions Poker Championship 2026 Presented by CrownBet has finally returned after a 6-year hiatus, and Hachem— the Godfather of Australian poker — couldn’t be more excited for the grand homecoming.

Catching up with PokerNews, the former world champion reflected on two decades in the spotlight, his strong views on the 'poker owes me nothing' crowd, family, legacy, and a burning desire to 'pass the sugar' once again.
