2026 Aussie Millions Poker Championship
While the Hachems may be gone, yesterday there were THREE in action at the Crown Melbourne.
2005 WSOP World Champion Joe Hachem led the charge into Day 3 of the Aussie Millions Main Event alongside his brother Tony and son James. While Tony fell just shy of the cage, Joe and James both navigated their way into the money.
With another son, Anthony, competing in the $2,500 event, the family legacy continues to be a focal point of the Australian poker boom. As Joe puts it: "If one Hachem doesn't get you, another will!"
The $2,500 Deep Freeze is on its first break with 86 players from a field of 399 players remaining.
53 players will be paid with a min-cash worth $4,490.
From a field of 399 players, just 122 are returning for Day 2 in the $2,500 Deep Freeze. They are led by Jim Andreadis who bagged 500,000 chips, returning to blinds of 1,500/3,000 later today.
Just 53 places will be paid, with a min-cash worth $4,490. The winner walks away with a cool $206,465 and the trophy.
