"Good Call"

On a board of {6-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{K-Diamonds} Anna Wroblewski makes a 25,000 bet on the river. Chris Chronis thinks for a few moments before making the call. Wroblewski simply taps the table and says "Good call" before mucking her cards. Chronis flips {A-Spades}{7-Spades} to rake in the healthy pot. Wroblewski is overheard to say she had a big combo draw that failed to get there on the river and is now left peddling a short stack once again.

Richard Sara Eliminated in 6th Place (AU $9,450)

Richard Sara - 6th Place
Richard Sara - 6th Place
Just after Richard Sara had managed to double up in back-to-back hands hands, he found himself shaking hands and bidding adieu to his final table comrades a few short moments later.

Sara had limped into the pot from the cutoff and David Gorr checked his option in the big blind. The flop came {K-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Gorr checked to Sara who opened with a 5,000 bet. Gorr then re-raised to 15,000 and Sara made the call.

The turn brought a queen and Gorr fired a pot-sized bet, to which Sara responded by moving all in over the top for a tad bit more. Gorr made the call and turned over {K-Spades}{10-Spades}; Sara tabled {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

The last card off the deck was the {6-Diamonds}, bringing no help to Sara who was eliminated from the tournament in sixth place, a finish worth (AUD) $9,450.

Richard Sara Doubles Up...Twice!

In consecutive hands Richard Sara found himself with all of his chips in the middle and on both occasions he was able to successfully double up through Chris Chronis.

The first hand saw Sara with {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} push his short stack into the middle and Chronis made the call with {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}. The board brought {3-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Sara's trip tens were good!

The next hand both players went at it again, this time Chronis with {10-Clubs}{J-Clubs} once again needing help against the {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} of Sara. However the flop of {8-Spades}{J-Hearts}{7-Clubs} gave Chronis the lead momentarily, until the {Q-Hearts} on the turn and {10-Diamonds} on the river gave Sara a straight to boost his chips to over 50,000!

Sam Youssef Advertises Kings

Chris Chronis raised the pot from under-the-gun and Sam Youssef re-potted it from the big blind. Chronis makes the call and the flop delivers {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. Before the size of the pot had even been determined Youssef announced that he bet "pot" and Chronis quickly tossed his cards into the muck. Youssef has been doing a lot of advertising of his "junk" cards at this final table, but this time he flashes a real hand - two black kings!

Anna, Anna, Anna

Admittedly, we've given you a heavy dose of Anna Wroblewski today, but she's given us no choice, having been the most active player at the table by a long shot. She was at it again just a couple of minutes ago, tangling in a big pot with Chris Chronis. Here's how the hand went down:

The action folded around to Chronis in the cutoff, who opened with a 10,000 raise. Action then folded to Anna in the small blind, who re-popped it to 33,000. Richard Sara let go of his big blind and Chronis called the extra 23,000.

The flop came {Q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and immediately, Wroblewski open-shoved all in for a total of 22,000. After a moment's worth of consideration, Chronis made the call and flipped over {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}; Anna tabled the {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}. Upon seeing Chronis' hand, Anna immediately stood up out of her seat and walked away from the table. Upon her return, she pleaded to the dealer, "Don't do it!" with a smile.

The turn brought the {2-Hearts} - a safe card for Wroblewski - who called for one more deuce on the river. There would be no deuce, but an ace fell off on the river giving Anna a pair and the checkmark for the hand. She stacked up just under 100,000 in chips after all was said and done.

Wroblewski's Rockets Land Just in Time

A short stacked Anna Wroblewski was looking for some cards to double up with, and she couldn't find any better than the two black aces that looked up at her in the big blind. Chris Chronis made it 10,000 to go from the button and Wroblewski shoved the last of her chips into the middle. Chronis made the call with his pocket nines but was in bad shape.

The board brings {8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Spades} and Wroblewski more than doubles up, just when she needed it!

Anna Wroblewski Crippled

Four players limped in to take a cheap flop of {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts}.

They all checked the flop and saw the free turn card of {3-Spades}.

Chris Chronis decides to take a stab at the pot with a 15,000 chip bet and Anna Wroblewski makes the call.

The river brings the {J-Diamonds} and Chronis checks, allowing Wroblewski to fire out a bet of 24,000. Chronis then quickly check-raises enough to put a short-stacked Wroblewski all in. She goes into the tank, pleading with Chronis "Are you telling me my two pair is no good?". She eventually makes the lay down, leaving herself with only around 26,000 chips.
