Richard Sara Doubles Up

Richard Sara has been sitting very patiently in Seat 1 for most of today's play, but found a hand in middle position to raise it up to 7,000. David Gorr made the call from the big blind and they saw a flop of {Q-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. Both players liked this flop and the fireworks erupted as both players got their money in and flipped their cards.

Gorr: {Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Sara: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

The turn and river blanked and Richard Sara doubled through David Gorr.

Chronis vs Pavlou III

Chris Chronis and Harris Pavlou have been constantly duelling on today's final table, and Pavlou is slowly gaining the ascendency. With the board reading {3-Spades}{7-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} Chronis checked the river after betting heavily on all previous streets, and Pavlou was happy to check behind. Pavlou showed {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for trip nines which was good enough to scoop a pot worth close to 100,000 in chips!

David Gorr Flops The Nuts

David Gorr raises it up pre-flop from the button to 8,000 and Anna Wroblewski re-pops it to 22,000 from the small blind. Gorr makes the call and we see a flop of {8-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

Wroblewski leads out with a continuation bet of 25,000 and Gorr quickly shoves the rest of his chips in the middle. Wroblewski lays down her hand and Gorr kindly flashes {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for the flopped nut straight! Gorr has been pretty quiet so far today, but collects a healthy pot.

Anna Wroblewski opens the action pre-flop with a raise to 5,000 from the hijack position, and finds callers in Harris Pavlou on the button and Chris Chronis in the big blind.

They see a flop of {10-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and the action checks around to Pavlou who makes it 15,000 to go. Chronis calls from the big blind and Wroblewski steps out of the way.

The turn is the {5-Spades} and after come clarification about the size of the current pot, Pavlou fires 40,000 into the middle. Chronis considers the decision before laying down his hand and Pavlou recoups some of his old chips!
