Hall Flops Quads to Send One Out

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Ryan Hall
Ryan Hall

Ryan Hall was involved in a preflop raising war that ended with one player all in from the cutoff for a bit under 50,000. Hall called from the small blind to put his opponent at risk.

Cutoff: KQAll in
Ryan Hall: 1010

It was a fair fight, and the K appeared in the window, however, the two cards behind it were the 10 and 10 — leaving Hall's opponent drawing nearly dead.

The 9 turn sealed the deal and an irrelevant 7 completed the board — awarding Hall the large pot with his quad tens.

Seymour Doubles Through Lui

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Marc Seymour
Marc Seymour

Marc Seymour raised to 5,000 from the cutoff and was three-bet to 16,000 by Erping Lui from the small blind. Action folded back to Seymour, who committed his last 56,500 into the middle.

"Call," Lui said, having Seymour covered.

Lui found his queen-jack dominated, and the 52847 runout changed nothing to award Seymour the double up.

Big Slick Does the Trick For Zhu

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Zheming Zhu was already all in and at risk preflop for his last 38,000 from under the gun against Craig Blight, who had Zhu slightly covered from the cutoff.

Zheming Zhu: AKAll in
Craig Blight: AQ

Zhu was well ahead with his dominating ace, and the A53104 runout kept his kicker best to award him the double up. Blight was left with just 5,000 following the clash.

More For Seymour

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Robert Spano opened to 3,000 from the cutoff and was called by Marc Seymour in the small blind and Paris Sitzoukis in the big blind.

All three players checked on the 457 flop and then Seymour led out for 3,000 on the 2 turn. Both Sitzoukis and Spano called.

The 2 river paired the board and Seymour kept his foot on the gas for an 11,000 bet. His opponents both quickly folded in turn and Seymour added to his stack.

Murray's Boat Ships Ogilvy Out

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Lewis Murray
Lewis Murray

Wei Zhu opened to 3,000 from early position and was called by Lewis Murray on the button and Gavin Ogilvy in the big blind for a three-way pot.

Ogilvy checked to Zhu, who continued for 3,500 on the 592 flop. Murray and Ogilvy both called.

Action checked through on the 2 turn; however, Ogilvy fired 22,000 into the middle after the 6 completed the board. Zhu quickly folded, but Murray counted out his stack before raising enough to put Ogilvy all in for approximately his last 30,000.

Ogilvy committed the rest of his stack into the middle and Murray turned over 99 for a full house. Ogilvy nodded his head in acknowledgment as he showed he held 87 for a rivered straight before exiting the tournament area.

Thatcher Catches Dong's Bluff

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Jarrod Thatcher
Jarrod Thatcher

Action folded around to the blinds, where Jarrod Thatcher called from the small blind and Nelson Dong raised to 5,500 from the big blind. Thatcher called.

Both players checked on the AQ9 flop and 3 turn; however, Thatcher put a min-bet of 1,500 out after the Q filled the river.

Dong thought it over before opting to raise to 6,000. Thatcher didn't take long to call and Dong could only turn over 62 for a stone bluff.

Thatcher revealed K9 and took down the pot with his king.
