Tran Picks Off McSwiney's Bluff

Level 14 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Joshua McSwiney
Joshua McSwiney

Henry Tran opened from under the gun to 16,000 and Joshua McSwiney peeled out of the big blind.

The flop came down 524 and McSwiney led out for 12,000, which Tran called to see the 2 on the turn.

Both tapped the table to see the A drill the river, and McSwiney fired an overbet of 80,000. Tran went into the tank for quite some time before he eventually decided to call.

McSwiney then revealed a bluff with 87, and Tran's AQ was good with a rivered pair of aces.

Seymour Takes From van Wijk

Level 14 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Marc Seymour opened to 16,000 from early position and found one caller in Armon van Wijk in the big blind for a heads-up pot.

Van Wijk check-called a 20,000 bet from Seymour on the 4810 flop and then led out for 22,000 himself after the 7 fell on the turn. Seymour called.

The Q completed the board and van Wijk checked to Seymour, who began to put out a bet and was met with an immediate fold from van Wijk.

Level 14 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Selvan Eswaralingam had opened and Constantinos Boucas three-bet from a few seats down. When it got back to Eswaralingam, he four-bet shoved around 280,000, and Boucas called.

Selvan Eswaralingam: AK All in
Constantinos Boucas: QQ

Eswaralingam needed to connect with his Big Slick but the board stayed low coming 95467, keeping the queens of Boucas in the lead.

Liu Doubles Through Demlakian

Level 14 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

With around 100,000 in the middle on a 10227 board, Ling Liu checked and Ken Demlakian fired out 65,000. Liu then shoved for 130,000, and Demlakian called.

Ling Liu: Q10 All in
Ken Demlakian: 88

Liu was miles in front with her pair of tens and only needed to fade an eight on the river in order to double up. No Snowmen were seen when the 6 filled out the board, meaning Liu raked in a pot to bring her stack to around 375,000.

Xu Doubles Through Wang

Level 14 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Anthony Xu
Anthony Xu

On a flop of 3J9, Anthony Xu had his stack of around 125,000 in the middle and at risk with Yuanting Wang looking to score a knockout.

Anthony Xu: QQ All in
Yuanting Wang: AJ

Wang had flopped top pair with the best kicker, but was behind to the overpair of Xu who held queens. A 4 on the turn put Xu one step closer to a double-up, and the 10 on the river meant the pot was his, sending his stack to around 325,000.

On the other hand, Wang's stack takes a hit but he still has 1,000,000 to play.

Wang Finishes Stanic Off

Level 14 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Yuanting Wang opened from under the gun and action folded to Mario Stanic in the hjijack, who shoved for an approximately 50,000. It was then folded back around to Wang, who called to put Stanic at risk.

Mario Stanic: A8All in
Yuanting Wang: AQ

The Q69 flop left Stanic drawing nearly dead, but he did get a bit of a sweat after the 5 turn improved him to a gutshot draw on the turn.

It wasn't meant to be, however, as the 9 river bricked out to eliminate Stanic early in Day 2.

Shengfeng Ma
Shengfeng Ma

Mario Stanic opened from under the gun and was called by Shengfeng Ma in the big blind.

Both players checked on the JK7 flop and then Ma led out for 12,000 on the 5 turn. Stanic called.

The 10 completed the board and Ma sized up for a 33,000 bet on the river. Stanic looked him up and Ma tabled 107 two pair.

A frustrated Stanic tossed his hand into the muck, claiming he held ace-jack.

"What a hand..." Stanic said.
