Welsh Scores Big Pot With Aces

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Cathy Welsh was seen taking in another big pot after she knocked out one opponent and chipped up through James Richter.

Welsh had {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}, while Richter had {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and a third all-in player had {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. The board ran out {2-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Welsh held on with pocket aces to secure a big pot that puts her over the 100,000 mark.

Suchecki Back in Action With Aces

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

A player was all in for around 20,000 and Ariel Suchecki was the one to put her at risk just moments after doubling up on a previous hand.

Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Ariel Suchecki: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and the aces held to secure the knockout for Suchecki, who had expressed disappointment in the PokerNews team for covering her early bustout.

"Make sure you get this one in there," Suchecki said as she dragged the pot.

Apparently the hand was a bit of a fiasco before PokerNews arrived.

"I nearly knocked over a waitress," Suchecki explained. "Put that down, too."
